Relocation isn't always because of what you'll earn but also......

It's such a blurry topic for Nigerians to write currently because Can we even specifically write what the cost of our living is in the face of constant fluctuations in prices of item...
All I can say at the moment is that it is high.

However, since it's a worldwide comparison, I'll say that ours is actually low.... It's funny right? But it's actually low just that our economy is messing everything up.

People are clamouring on the new anthem, "Japa* because most persons feels it's easier to earn in dollars since the Naira keeps fluctuating but then, when you actually ask around and hear how exactly things are done in those places, it's almost same as we here.

How are the prices of goods and services compared to other countries?

Well, truth is that I can't really stick out my neck to answer this question because I've not been to other countries and some of these information online ain't always correct but nevertheless, I know for the studying aspect since I've asked about it.

Do you know that most of my classmates were given birth to outside Nigeria but then, they are here for their University Education? Have you asked yourself why?

I spoke with one of my classmates who was in this situation; they live in Ohio, USA and he told me that for him to get the degree as a medical doctor over there, that his parents has to spend almost sixty thousand dollars ($60,000).
I was awed because over here in Nigeria, you wouldn't spend a tuition fee of up to a thousand dollars ($1,000) if you're in a Federal University and guess what?

After graduation, there's no limitation to where you could practice so despite spending low on tuition fees, you can still practice alongside someone that spent very high amounts just that it might require you to put in more effort.
So does it make sense when I say the cost of our living is also low in a way?

Will your earnings fetch you more or less in those countries?

I can't be earning in Nigerian Naira expecting to live a good life in the USA because our economic strength is nowhere close at all.... Infact, I'll almost be a slave but then if it's within the Nigerian border, obviously yes, my earnings will be enough to get me whatever I want just that it'll take time.

If you had the chance, would you relocate over there?

Without mincing words, yes I will but then, it's not just because of what my earnings will be there because If there was an option of staying back in Nigeria here and earning in dollars, I won't really be going anywhere but then , it's almost impossible because the physical presence will be needed as a doctor but then when you actually analyse everything well, you'll see that you're almost in same situation you are in Nigeria because yes, you will earn quite a good amount but in that same way, you'll pay quite a number of taxes that at the end, you will be looking for the amount you earned.

Relocation is always a great idea; travelling is also a part of education I mean but then, most times it's not just because of what you'll be earning there, it's also because of good security system and the working conditions you'll be subjected to which is far better than what we have here in Nigeria.
