Sapien Loop and Our Own World – Part Six: How It All Ends

The Sapien Loop books and stories mirror reality in so many ways. It is impractical for me to cover them all. I also do not want to give away too much of the storyline. I want to reveal enough to demonstrate the connection to reality and why I have presented similar scenarios and outcomes through the stories. Below are the posts I have completed so far.

This is the final post in the series. In this post, I explain why I decided to bring down Sapey’s civilisation in the way I did. I want to compare this with how our world is progressing. I have discussed several times in my posts about the collapse of Western civilisation and society. I strongly believe the collapse of Western civilisation is inevitable. What I am unsure of is the extent of this collapse. Will it collapse beyond repair, or will it be able to be rebuilt? If it is rebuilt, who will rebuild it? Will it be the people, or will it be the Establishment that rebuilds it?

The collapse of Western civilisation and society is by design. The collapse is believed needed to enable a radical change in the structure of society. The plan for this has been called the ‘Great Reset’. It has been discussed in places such as the World Economic Forum (WEF). The main gist of the ‘Great Reset’ is the shift towards the centralisation of power through global and international bodies. These bodies would be made up of ‘global’ leaders from Government, Big Business, and Banking (three of the five that I refer to as the Establishment).

Countries would lose some and eventually all their sovereignty. The global and international bodies would make many of the laws. They are likely to be enforced by international courts (e.g., expanded powers to the European Court of Justice or the European Court of Human Rights). Big Business would play a more significant role in determining policy for the member countries of these bodies. We currently see this with the United Nations and World Health Organisation.

An important part of the Great Reset is to change capitalism. Capitalism, mostly through intervention, has shifted away from free market capitalism towards shareholder capitalism, which is starting to resemble crony capitalism. The architects of the Great Reset want to replace shareholder capitalism with stakeholder capitalism. It is promoted as moving away from short-run profits to long-run goals of all stakeholders, which includes customers, employees, the environment, and society in general.

The premise that shareholder capitalism is most focused on short-run profits is mostly incorrect. Large corporations are generally more focused on long-run profits and maintaining market share as described in Part Five of this series. The push for shareholder capitalism is predominantly coming from Big Business. This push is to increase regulation, which helps them maintain market share and monopoly power. In respect to stakeholders in general. They desire them to have a certain basic standard of living, but with no opportunity to excel. They desire socialism for the majority and the proliferation of wealth for their own elite group. Hence, they would achieve a form of plutocratic socialism. As they intend for this to be global, we could call it global plutocratic socialism. This is a slight divergence from corporatocracy, as power is shared beyond the corporate world with other elites.

The collapse of society is needed to persuade the masses that change is necessary. It needs to highlight that nation states are deeply flawed and cannot operate effectively. The Covid-19 fiasco was a good example of how nation states failed. The proposed solution is the global pandemic treaty, which creates a more unified response by all nations affected. This would achieve the goal of centralising power in response to health crises.

There are other areas that international bodies claim nation states are failing to address. These include climate change, misinformation, racism, far-right ideology, public services, national security, and trust in leadership. Some of this failure is real, and some of it is greatly exaggerated, but almost all of it is manufactured. The media and Governments have done a great job at creating fear. This fear is leading to social unrest, rising mental health problems, sectarianism, and push migration.

Another key part of the Great Reset is the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The WEF would argue that we are at the beginning of another major shift in technology. We have seen huge leaps forward in terms of artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, 3D printing, automated vehicles, gene editing, communications, and many other areas. Historically, new technology replaces some jobs while creating others. Many would argue that more jobs are created than replaced, as the net number of jobs has generally increased. However, this is a little deceptive. Many of the new jobs that have been created are in Government agencies. Many of these jobs add limited value. They are created to increase the size of Government.

The newest technologies are different. They will not just replace low-skilled jobs, which would enable the creation of higher-skilled jobs; they will also replace high-skilled jobs. This is likely to cause unemployment to rapidly increase. To avoid this problem, the Establishment will need to reduce the global population. The huge plunge in fertility rates will eventually achieve that. This is quite possibly the course of action that the Establishment will accept.

It is also likely that many in the Establishment will not be prepared to wait for several generations for this drop. They might resort to reducing fertility rates even more sharply. This could be done through the food or water supplies or even the ‘side effects’ of new drugs and vaccines. The risk of this approach is that the decline in the world population will be too high and irreversible. Therefore, it would need to be targeted. Some populations would need to remain fertile.

The population of the world could be reduced rapidly through genocide or nuclear war.

Instead of targeting infertility, the Establishment could go one step further and start killing the population directly. The same methods used to reduce fertility could be used to kill the public directly. The Covid-19 fiasco proved it is not hard to convince most of the population to be injected with something if they are told it will prevent them from falling sick or possibly dying. The outcome was the highest number of recorded adverse reactions to any drug in history. The long-run damage caused by these jabs will never be accurately measured because so many other factors could be blamed for the negative effects caused by the jabs. Thus, the jabs could be the perfect approach to cause a hidden genocide.

Genocide is often a product of hatred. One group of people believes another group of people are so evil that slaughtering them is justified. This is fuelled much quicker if it is supported, encouraged, or even initiated by the state. People in the West are divided. People have divided themselves based on politics, culture, religion, and ethnicity.

The Government, media and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) have been strongly instigated and provoked the division. The Government has done so through policy, rhetoric, and false flag operations. The media have done so by manipulating facts and directing blame. The NGOs have done so by directly encouraging and funding activism that supports certain popular agendas of the day.

Protests have become fuelled with tension and hate. This is largely because of the rise in counter-protests. Counter-protests are often organised to antagonise the original protestors with the intent to cause violence. Police deliberately place the counter protest within view of the original protest. This is done to flare up tensions. If violence breaks out, the message behind the protest is lost. Even if it does not, the message behind the protest is diluted because of the counter-protest. Counter-protests do not even serve the goal of expressing an opposing opinion. They would send a stronger message if they were organised as protests at a different location or on a different day. However, that is not their purpose.

It is just a matter of time before serious and continuous unrest will break out. Typically, the minorities are the main casualties of serious unrest. This is because the majority, by definition, have more people, but more importantly, they have the support of the Government. In the West, the divide is strongest between those on the opposite sides of the imaginary one-dimensional political spectrum. However, it has been twisted to become a divide based on race. This raises the question of which side is actually the majority. If genocide breaks out, either side could be massacred or even both.

I strongly believe a nuclear war is unlikely. However, it seems the probability has increased. Donald Trump claimed he would end the war between Ukraine and Russia, and he claimed he would end the war between Israel and Hamas. He has done neither. Despite preliminary peace talks, the war between Ukraine and Russia appears to be escalating. It is possible the war could escalate to a point that a country uses a nuclear weapon; it could be NATO or Russia; it could be a genuine attack or, more likely, a false flag nuclear attack. A nuclear war could rapidly decrease the world’s population. However, a nuclear war would also destroy everything else. This seems unlikely to suit the powers who will remain.

I believe the wars could expand further, and we might have a non-nuclear world war or multiple regional wars instead. These wars could continue indefinitely. They would claim far fewer lives than an all-out nuclear war, but the death toll would mount after a few years. People will be killed directly because of the war and indirectly because of poverty and loss of resources and infrastructure to keep society running. If birth rates continue to decline, these wars will play an important role in reducing global population. Another reason for these wars is to control the population through fear. The Government will claim to be the protectors, and everyone must obey them to stay alive.

Sapien Loop

In the Sapien Loop stories, civilisation collapsed twice within the same loop. The first collapse, which occurred in ancient Sapey, is described in the book ‘Frozen in Time’. The collapse was self-inflicted. It began as a mistake caused by a genetic modification to the Linap species that went horribly wrong. The first generation were fine, but the second generation were very ill, and most were infertile.

The damage could have been prevented. A scientist discovered that breeding the modified Linap with the unmodified Linap would prevent the illness in the next generation. The first generation of modified Linap rejected this solution. They believed they were superior to the unmodified Linap, and breeding with them was unacceptable. They wanted another solution that would not affect their believed ‘superior’ genetics. Such a solution never came along. The unmodified Linap, who had been greatly persecuted, eventually died out. Eventually, the modified Linap developed medication that treated many of their illnesses and restored fertility in some, but the genetic condition never went away.

Their illness prevented them from doing any strenuous work. Some of the Linap wanted to use machines to replace them in doing this work, but it was deemed impractical, difficult, and in some cases, not possible. These machines still needed to be built, maintained, and controlled. Instead, the Linap decided to use their advanced skills in genetics to create two new hybrid species using their own genetics and that of Sapes. These two species would do the work the Linap could no longer do. One of the new species, the Sapiens, was intelligent. To maintain control over them, the Linap needed an elaborate system. This is how, in the Sapien Loop world, the Establishment came to exist.

This first collapse of Sapey’s society does not closely resemble the current collapse we are witnessing in our own society. The first collapse paved the way for the structure and composition of society in Sapey in ‘End of an Era’. It led to the creation of the Sapien species and the system to control them. Therefore, it paved the way for the second collapse.

Our own societies and civilisations have experienced many collapses over the centuries. Some have been far more severe than others. Each time, in our recorded history, new civilisations have eventually risen to replace the old. Their foundations ultimately set in motion their rise and eventual fall.

The second collapse of Sapey described in ‘End of an Era’ is a little more complicated. The collapse that occurred was not intended. However, a collapse of a much smaller nature was.

A cure for the Linap’s genetic problems had been found. This would make the Linap stronger than ever. This would also mean that the Sapiens were no longer necessary. The Sapiens were strongly disliked and feared by most Linap. The Linap elite’s plan was to wipe them out within a generation by contaminating the water supply with a specially designed solution. The contamination would kill some immediately, others would fall very sick, and all those who survived would be infertile. The Sapiens were told the solution to be added to their water was actually to prevent existing contamination from the wastelands. In fact, it did the exact opposite. This approach is similar to how people were tricked into taking the Covid-19 jabs.

Some Linap wanted to take this plan further and contaminate the Linap’s water supply. The purpose of this was to give absolute control of Linap population growth to the elite Linap. Healthy Linap would be grown in laboratories.

This plan did not fully develop as planned. The cure for the Linap was derived from the Sentray’s DNA; see Part One for more about them. Someone who strongly opposed the plan to eliminate the Sapiens decided drastic measures were needed. Through a clever plan, he managed to alert the Sentray that infant Sentray were being held in the Capital Region. The intention was for them to attack and destroy the Capital Region, which was the home to most of the Linap. If the Linap leadership was destroyed, the plan to wipe out the Sapiens could be stopped.

This plan succeeded in destroying the Capital Region. However, the Sentray did not stop once they had destroyed the Capital Region. They decided to attack all the regions. The regions’ defences were insufficient to stop the Sentray from attacking. In the end, only one region remained untouched. There were very few Sapien survivors and no Linap survivors.

This collapse was faster and far more dramatic than the first collapse. It had basically reset the entire civilisation. The plan was to wipe out the Sapiens so that the Linap would remain. Instead, the Linap were wiped out, and some of the Sapiens survived. However, this came at an enormous cost, and many of the few remaining Sapiens were sick. Unlike the sickness caused during the first collapse, this sickness was not genetic. This gave hope that a healthy Sapien population could once again rise.

The collapse of society in ‘End of an Era’ was catastrophic for the Sapiens, but they were not wiped out. Without the Sentray attack, they would have been. The Linap would have ensured that all Sapiens would have drunk from the water supply at some point. They would have been able to cut them off from any other sources. However, did the response need to be that drastic?

There was very little time to take any action. Even the Sentray attack was too late to stop the solution from reaching all the regions and poisoning most Sapiens. Less drastic responses would not have stopped the Linap. The Sapiens were too busy fighting each other to fight back against the Linap. The Linap were also protected by the Capital Region enforcers, who were more heavily armed than the regional enforcers.

The Sentray attack on the Capital Region might have failed if the Capital Enforcers had not been called out to intervene in the riots that were occurring in the regions. Someone who wanted the Capital Region to be vulnerable to attack provoked these riots. Their motivations for bringing down the Capital Region were a little different. They also did not anticipate that the Sentray would attack the whole country.

For our world, a less drastic response would be preferred, but it appears that is becoming less likely to be possible. The collapse of the West appears inevitable, and the eventual rebuilding is also likely to be out of our hands. Our Establishments might not be as strong as the one described in Sapien Loop, but they are still incredibly difficult to penetrate. Many the people are beginning to wake up to the Establishment’s control system. This is particularly true in the USA. However, this awakening has almost been completely thwarted with the brilliant use of controlled opposition. We are close to the point where only something drastic has any chance to possibly turn the tide.

The Sentray were used to stop the Linap because they were the only ones that could do it. They were incredibly fast, strong, resilient, and aggressive. They also had the advantage of surprise. If the Linap had been prepared, they could have protected the Capital Region far more effectively and most likely would have defeated the Sentray. The Sentray were the perfect ones to defeat the Linap, as the Linap had defeated them at the start of the loop.

The Sentray’s true motives for the destruction they caused as well as the ones they spared have not been definitively stated in the books. Were they only interested in destroying the Linap? Were the Sentray punishing both the Linap and Sapiens for their behaviour? Were the Sentray only interested in killing the culprits who tortured their infants? Were the Sentray only interested in killing those who were threats or competitors for food? The two books lean slightly towards different reasons. The actual reason will be revealed in the third book.

The Sentray attack was intended to create an apocalyptic feel to the final part of the book. They rose from the ocean to cause great destruction, like legendary monsters such as the Kraken or Leviathan. I am not anticipating such monsters will rise from our oceans. The Sentray is a metaphor for other great forces that could emerge that could unexpectedly have enormous global impact and possibly come close to wiping out our species. The power of nature is far greater than that of the Sentray described in the books.

Conclusion

This post wraps up the series. I hope I have managed to successfully explain the many ways that the books and stories connect and reflect our reality. The intention was not to perfectly reflect reality but to present an alternative to it in another world that is very similar to our own. The books and stories are intended to stimulate the readers’ minds and cause them to automatically think of comparisons to our own world.

The books are also intended to be entertaining and enjoyable to read. The storylines are dramatic and fast-paced. The behaviour of many of the characters is exaggerated. This has been done to subtly distinguish them from humans while also keeping them relatable. These books are my first attempt at writing fiction. My writing experience relates to academic papers and economic blogs. Therefore, I expect the books to have a different feel from those written by seasoned fiction authors. I felt a fiction story was the best method of bringing across real-world concepts to wider audiences by expressing them in a fictional alien world. How well will this work? We will have to wait and see.

The Sapien Loop Series

I am writing a trilogy of books titled Sapien Loop. The first in the series is Sapien Loop: End of an Era and the second is Sapien Loop: Frozen in Time. I published both of these books as ebooks on Amazon, and I have posted completed chapters to my @captainhive account. I anticipate publishing the third book in early 2027. I expect to title this book Sapien Loop: Worlds Collide. In 2025, I plan to write short stories about some of the characters and their adventures. Brief Summary of Sapien Loop: End of an Era

This story is based on the fictional planet Sapia and its sole country, Sapey. Sapey is portrayed as a form of utopia for all its citizens. No poverty. No war. Almost no crime. Opportunities for all.

This was enough for most citizens, but not all. In one of the small regions, some of the citizens had become discontent. They felt something important was missing in their lives. Their discontent did not go unnoticed. Some of the Sapey elite wanted to weaponise this discontent to gain more power. This created more chaos than they anticipated. This led to further widespread social unrest.

On top of the chaos, ambition and greed provoked another enemy. This enemy was on a mission to settle both new and old scores.

Brief Summary of Sapien Loop: Frozen in Time

This story is based six years after the original story. The Downs Region is still suffering from a serious health crisis caused by the contaminated water. The main characters are desperately trying to find a cure for the illness that has been caused by the water.

One of the main characters has discovered frozen humanoids in hidden chambers. It appears they have been frozen for a long time. These chambers connect to a vast network of tunnels. While exploring the tunnels, one of the frozen humanoids disappears. It appears he has been stolen.

The story takes a step back in time to tell the story of the frozen humanoids. How and why were they frozen? This part of the story also explains the fall of ancient Sapey and the birth of the Sapiens. Can those from the past be able to coexist with those from the present?
