Sapien Loop 2026 Quiz 1 Answers
Hi Everyone,

It is time to announce the winner of the first Sapien Loop Quiz for this year. This contest has been a huge disappointment. It had only two participants. I think this is the lowest turnout this series of contests has ever had, and it might be the lowest I have had for any contest.
The quiz was one of the more difficult ones, but I doubt that is the reason for the abysmal turnout. The popularity of my content has taken a hit. I have posted less frequently because of the amount of time I have dedicated to writing the Sapien Loop series. I also believe the lack of a bull market for the altcoins has played a part in the decline in the popularity of Hive in general. This could be a very tough year.
How to Play!

For those who did not enter, here is a quick recap of how to play. The quiz contains nine multiple-choice questions. Each question has five possible answers. The participant is required to select the correct answer from the five options. The participant who answers the most questions correctly wins the contest. If there is a tie, the participant who entered first wins. There is also a requirement for the winner to answer at least five questions correctly. This is my way of ensuring that the participants have read the books.
The prize for each contest is 30 Hive Power. The entries of the first twelve participants are upvoted.

Explanations

Question 1: This question is from the short story ‘The Bramley Gene’. The Linap changed the genetics of the next generation of Linap to enhance their intelligence. This appeared to be a success. However, the second generation was born sickly. Marlon believed that the genetically modified Linap needed to be back bred with the older, not genetically modified Linap to breed out the sickness. This was in line with Locum Alset’s warning prior to the genetic modifications.
Question 2: This question is from the short story ‘Life Underground’. The High Philosopher and his followers, often referred to as the Cult, were isolated from the other underground Linap. Miro, the leader of most other tribes, wanted to trade with the Cult. Miro took his brother Flint to meet with the High Philosopher and his mentor in the underground temple in their city.
Question 3: This question is from the short story ‘The Special Enforcer. The recruits were given the task of catching a thief who had stolen several items from the other recruits. One of the stolen items was an electric toothbrush. It was labelled ‘Eric’. Eric later confirmed that the toothbrush belonged to him.
Question 4: This question is from the short story ‘Welcome to Cellrebrum. On his trip to the Cellrebrum Rehabilitation Centre, Pardi’s assistant entered his private carriage. Pardi was angry about a painting of his son on his carriage wall. He vented his frustrations on his assistant and then pretended his assistant attacked him. His guards entered and threw the assistant off the moving train.
Question 5: This question is from the short story ‘Just Another Day in the Economic Institute’. Randall, the head of the Economic Institute, met with governors Rerac and Citamgarp. The two governors had proposed budgets for the coming year. One was long and a repeat of the previous year’s, and the other was just two pages. Neither budget addressed the pressing employment problem in the House of Divine Knowledge-friendly regions.
Question 6: This question is from the short story ‘The Twelfth Loop Begins’. This story, as the title suggests, is based at the beginning of the twelfth loop. The loop started with the dominance of the Sentray over the Linap. Elder Bisko wanted to fight back against them. Derek and Matilda discovered a critical weakness of the Sentray. A combination of algae and the pollen of the Roo flower could poison them. Elder Bisko used this weakness to fight back, which eventually led to the defeat of the Sentray.
Question 7: This question is from ‘Character’s Journeys: Part Three’. Latma was Denise’s mother. Denise escaped Adoy during the riots, but Latma was left behind. She thought she would be safe but did not know that the region would be filled with toxic gases that would kill everyone.
Question 8: This question is from ‘Character’s Journeys: Part Six’. Saliyah was on the field during the stadium disaster. She was crushed to death; the plexiglass fell on top of her because of the weight of the thousands of bodies pressed against it. James Yensid was blamed for overfilling the stadium. Hadrian Alset was blamed for sabotaging the stadium. Years later, it was revealed that Tiberius and his enforcers sabotaged the stadium that led to her death.
Question 9: This question is from ‘Character’s Journeys: Part One’. Claire is Jonah’s sister. She worked as a scientist. There was something that made Jonah different from other Sapiens. Claire wanted to find what that was. She discovered that he had an extra chromosome on the 21st pair. Hence the name Trisomy-21.
The Winner

Overall, this contest had just two participants. Neither of them passed the threshold of five correct answers to win this contest. Therefore, the prize will be rolled over to next month’s contest.
The Sapien Loop Series

I am writing a trilogy of books titled Sapien Loop. The first in the series is Sapien Loop: End of an Era and the second is Sapien Loop: Frozen in Time. I published both of these books as ebooks on Amazon, and I have posted completed chapters to my @captainhive account. I anticipate publishing the third book in early 2027. I expect to title this book Sapien Loop: Worlds Collide. In 2025, I plan to write short stories about some of the characters and their adventures. I will post these to my @captainhive over the course of the year.
Brief Summary of Sapien Loop: End of an Era

This story is based on the fictional planet Sapia and its sole country, Sapey. Sapey is portrayed as a form of utopia for all its citizens. No poverty. No war. Almost no crime. Opportunities for all.
This was enough for most citizens, but not all. In one of the small regions, some of the citizens had become discontent. They felt something important was missing in their lives. Their discontent did not go unnoticed. Some of the Sapey elite wanted to weaponise this discontent to gain more power. This created more chaos than they anticipated. This led to further widespread social unrest.
On top of the chaos, ambition and greed provoked another enemy. This enemy was on a mission to settle both new and old scores.
Brief Summary of Sapien Loop: Frozen in Time

This story is based six years after the original story. The Downs Region is still suffering from a serious health crisis caused by the contaminated water. The main characters are desperately trying to find a cure for the illness that has been caused by the water.
One of the main characters has discovered frozen humanoids in hidden chambers. It appears they have been frozen for a long time. These chambers connect to a vast network of tunnels. While exploring the tunnels, one of the frozen humanoids disappears. It appears he has been stolen.
The story takes a step back in time to tell the story of the frozen humanoids. How and why were they frozen? This part of the story also explains the fall of ancient Sapey and the birth of the Sapiens. Can those from the past be able to coexist with those from the present?
