Los pies son la base de nuestro cuerpo y los que soportan todo el peso y si ellos están mal nuestro sistema también, por eso es muy importante solucionar cualquier incomodidad o dolor que presenten.

Mis pies son planos, con juanetes o Hallux valgus, en línea general están bien, estoy haciendo ejercicios para mejorar mi pisada y eliminar esos dolores, pero no tengo problemas con las uñas ni los talones como ha sufrido mi mamá y hoy quiero que me acompañes a un dia de pedicura con ella.

Mi mamá sufre de uñas encarnadas y hongos y eso ha hecho que algunas uñas se deformen a tal punto que se volvieran gruesas e imposibles de cortar en casa, por eso la llevé a un centro de quiropedia a donde me recomendaron. Ese día le dije que se llevara unas sandalias deportivas con los dedos libres en caso de que saliera con dolor y fue la mejor decisión.

Estando en el negocio, le metieron los pies en una especie de balde de aluminio eléctrico que mantiene el agua tibia para ablandar las partes duras de los pies y las uñas, después de unos minutos el especialista con bisturí y pinzas especiales comenzó a desenterrarlas. Antes de que el señor comenzará le dije que mi mamá tenía dolor y pregunté sí usaba algún analgésico, me dijo que sí, pero no le aplicó nada y ella sintió dolor en todo el proceso. 😔🫩.

My mum suffers from ingrown toenails and fungus, which has caused some of her nails to become so deformed that they have become thick and impossible to cut at home, so I took her to a chiropody centre that was recommended to me. That day, I told her to bring some open-toed sports sandals in case she left in pain, and it was the best decision.

At the salon, they put her feet in a kind of electric aluminium bucket that keeps the water warm to soften the hard parts of the feet and nails. After a few minutes, the specialist began to remove them with a scalpel and special tweezers. Before the gentleman began, I told him that my mum was in pain and asked if he used any painkillers. He said yes, but he didn't apply anything, and she felt pain throughout the entire process. 😔🫩.

Mientras estaba haciendo el trabajo, yo saque fotos de un espacio muy bonito con muchas pinturas de uñas, me imagino que es para colocar sistemas de acrílico y uñas postizas. Pasada una hora mi mamá estaba lista, los pies le quedaron limpios e hidratados pero habían algodones con sangre y eso me causó impresión y preocupación, pensé que había sagrado en las partes encarnadas pero no, fue por una uñas que de tanto limarla por encima sangró aunque se veía gruesa, era de las uñas enfermas.

En conclusión los pies se le veian bonitos, mi mamá dejo de sentir dolor en la parte donde tenia las uñas encarnadas y se sintió mejor a pesar de haber sangrado en un uña, por este servicio se canceló 21 $ el negocio define el costo final, hay otros más costoso de 30 $ y 42 $ me imagino que tratamientos de pie diabéticos o casos peores.

Mi mamá se sintió bien atendida, dijo que el señor no fué rústico, eso me hace sentir que el dinero fue bien invertido, espero volver a traerla en el futuro, y para las uñas con hongos @mamaemigrante me recomendó remojar las uñas todas las noches por 10 minutos en vinagre de manzana, gracias por ese remedio casero que seguro soluciona el problema.

While he was doing the work, I took photos of a very nice space with lots of nail polish. I imagine it is for applying acrylics and false nails. After an hour, my mother was ready. Her feet were clean and moisturised, but there was blood on the cotton wool, which shocked and worried me. I thought she had bled from the ingrown parts, but no, it was because one of her nails had bled from being filed so much, even though it looked thick. It was one of her unhealthy nails.

In conclusion, her feet looked beautiful, my mother no longer felt pain in the area where she had ingrown toenails, and she felt better despite the bleeding from one nail. This service cost £21. The business sets the final cost. There are other more expensive options at £30 and £42, which I imagine are for diabetic foot treatments or worse cases.

My mother felt well cared for. She said that the gentleman was not rude, which makes me feel that the money was well spent. I hope to bring her back in the future. For fungal nails, @mamaemigrante recommended soaking the nails every night for 10 minutes in apple cider vinegar. Thank you for that home remedy, which I am sure will solve the problem.
