A makeover as a birthday present for my mom 👵🏻 (ENG - SPA)

I had been wanting to give my mom a makeover for many years and I took advantage of her birthday last month to take her to have some highlights or highlights in her hair, although she already has a lot of gray in the front part of her hair, she wanted to have a homogeneous color in all her hair.

Any hairdressing work that has to do with bleaching is usually expensive, and if it is done in a salon increases its value my mom deserves that and much more, but the reality is that my budget is very short so I looked for information among my friends and they recommended me a lady who did this work in her own home lowering the costs.

When I told my mom that I was going to take her to get her hair done, she was very excited and very excited. She had not had her hair done for many years, but leaving the house is not so easy, since we are in charge of my 92 year old grandmother and if she goes out I have to stay with my grandmother. When a health emergency happens and my mom and I have to be together, I have had to pay an external person to stay with my grandmother.

The day that the work was done on the hair we left almost at dawn in a cab and the lady received us at 7:00 in the morning at her house, my mom and I were very anxious because we had left my grandmother asleep, we had given her medicine and she was in the care of one of my brothers and my aunt, but they are people who also have their condition and that is why we wanted everything to be done quickly.

The process took 4 hours, it seemed like an eternity when it was over. We rushed off in the cab back and I didn't have time to take a picture of the final result. Once at home, my mom starts with the chores, she tied her hair up and I missed the opportunity to show how it looked on her.

I was happy to see her with her hair done and she was very happy too, at least she wasn't left with the feeling of not doing something she wanted. Both of our hair is totally silver and this kind of highlight work doesn't look like it does to us as it does to other people who have black base hair.

But aside from how her hair might have looked, having the experience of her being able to do something she wanted to do, to look pretty, to look done up, even once in a long time, is something that fills your soul with fulfillment and joy. That day I felt many mixed emotions and today, as I am writing this post, tears fill my eyes when I remember that on that day my mom was able to give herself a little time for herself, because the last years of her life have been dedicated to my grandmother.

My mom is a very special being, she is a good mother, wife, sister, and above all an excellent daughter. Every day that passes, I love her more as I see how she treats my grandmother and takes care of her with love.

Un cambio de imagen como regalo de cumpleaños para mi mamá

Hacía muchos años que quería regalarle a mi mamá un cambio de imagen y aproveché que el mes pasado fue su cumpleaños para llevarla a realizarse unos reflejos o mechas en su cabello, aunque ya tiene la parte frontal con muchas canas, ella quería tener un color homogéneo en todo su cabello.

Cualquier trabajo de peluquería que tenga que ver con decoloraciones suele ser costoso, y si se realiza en una peluquería aumenta su valor mi mamá se merece eso y mucho más, pero la realidad es que mi presupuesto es muy corto por lo que busque información entre mis amigas y me recomendaron una señora que hacía este trabajo en su propia casa abaratando los costos.

Cuando le dije a mi mamá que la iba a llevar a arreglarse el cabello ella se emocionó mucho y se ilusionó bastante tenía muchos años que no se hacía un cariño personal, pero salir de la casa no es tan fácil, ya que tenemos a cargo a mi abuelita de 92 años y si ella sale yo me tengo que quedar con mi abuela. Cuando sucede alguna emergencia de salud y mi mamá y yo tenemos que estar juntas, me ha tocado pagarle a una persona externa para que se quede con mi abuela.

El día que se hizo el trabajo en el cabello salimos casi de madrugada en un taxi y la señora nos recibió a las 7:00 de la mañana en su casa, mi mamá y yo teníamos mucha angustia porque habíamos dejado a mi abuela dormida le habíamos dado su medicina y estaba al cuidado de uno de mis hermanos y mi tía, pero son personas que también tienen su condición y por eso queríamos que todo se hiciera de manera rápida.

El proceso duró 4 horas, nos pareció una eternidad cuando terminó. Salimos corriendo en el taxi de regreso y no me dio tiempo de tomar una foto con el resultado final. Una vez en la casa, mi mamá comienza con los quehaceres, se amarró el cabello y perdí la oportunidad de mostrar cómo le quedó.

Yo me sentí feliz de verla con su cabello arreglado y ella también estaba muy contenta, por lo menos no se quedó con el sentimiento de no hacer algo que ella quería. El cabello de ambas está totalmente plateado y este tipo de trabajos de mechas no nos lucen como a otras personas que tienen base del cabello color negro.

Pero aparte de cómo le pudiera haber quedado su cabello, el tener la experiencia de que ella pudiera hacer algo que deseaba, el verse bonita, arreglada, aunque sea una vez en mucho tiempo, es algo que te llena de plenitud y de alegría el alma. Ese día me sentí con muchas emociones encontradas y hoy mismo que estoy redactando este post, se me llenan de lágrimas los ojos al recordar que ese día mi mamá se pudo regalar un poco de tiempo para ella misma, porque los últimos años de su vida han estado dedicados a mi abuela.

Mi mamá es un ser muy especial, es buena madre, esposa, hermana, y sobre todo excelente hija. Cada día que pasa, la amo más al ver cómo trata a mi abuela y cuida con amor.
