(EN-ES) Thirsty for saltwater//Sedienta de agua salina

Hello friends. Today I share some images of La Puntilla, that corner of Havana where, no matter how much it tries, the sea does not allow itself to be trapped.

It is movement, reflection, depth. It is a language without an exact translation. I try to freeze it in a photograph, yet it always escapes a bit of its essence.

But still, I try. Because some of its energy remains in every shot, in every imperfect frame, in every flash of light on the water.

These photos do not aim to capture its entirety— that would be naive— but they seek to share a fragment of what I felt while being there: freedom, calm, vertigo, beauty.
I hope that when you see them, you feel even a hint of salt on your skin or the echo of a wave in your chest.

Hola amigos. Hoy comparto algunas imágenes de La Puntilla, ese rincón de La Habana donde por más que intente el mar no se deja atrapar.

Es movimiento, reflejo, profundidad. Es un idioma sin traducción exacta. Trato congelarlo en una fotografía, sin embargo siempre se escapa un poco de su esencia.

Pero aún así, lo intento. Porque algo de su energía queda en cada disparo, en cada encuadre imperfecto, en cada destello de luz sobre el agua.

Estas fotos no pretenden capturar su totalidad —eso sería ingenuo—, pero sí buscan compartir un fragmento de lo que sentí al estar allí: libertad, calma, vértigo, belleza.
Ojalá, al verlas, sientan ustedes aunque sea una brizna de sal en la piel o el eco de una ola en el pecho.
