Dear friends once again here contributing content, this time I come with a maintenance that I made to my weeding machine or mower, I do not know how they call them in your country.

My dad many years ago acquired a weed trimmer to cut the grass and the bush in the yard of the house, then when I started to raise goats we stopped using it because they were eating the grass and it grew very little.

A few days ago when I was cleaning and organizing my dad's house I saw it in a corner and I took it out to check it and do some maintenance because I need it right now.

The first thing I did was to turn the engine and evaluate that it is not stuck or free of compression for the years without use, this was wonderful, I only saw dust and dirt, nothing to worry about.

I continue checking and I find that the carburetor primer pump was toast and when I press it I stayed in my hand, I also noticed that the hoses that feed fuel from the tank to the carburetor were damaged.

The first thing I found in several places was that they wanted to sell me the complete carburetor for $30 and I didn't plan to spend that much so I kept looking until I got to a farm store where they sold me the pump alone for $1 and the hoses that go to the tank for $2.5.

Now I went home and started to disassemble the carburetor to change the pump.

I took advantage of the fact that it was without the covers and without the carburetor to have better access to the chassis and clean it well and after everything is clean install the carburetor and all the covers that I had removed.

When I finished putting everything together I make new ones to the pump and it was doing its job very well so now all that was left was to install the hoses.

Finally to finish the maintenance I removed the spark plug I checked it, it was fine I just cleaned it and burned it a little on the stove burner and installed it again I did not want to risk mounting a new spark plug because of the quality of the products available today.

I got a friend who recently sold a two stroke bike and I asked him for oil so as not to spend 10$ on a liter of oil, that amount he gave me gives me about 3 or 4 tanks of the machine and that becomes about five uses of the machine.

To turn it on use a little more oil than normal for the time without use to lubricate a little more to finish that mixture if I prepare it as the manual says and ready and operational is great tool.

Queridos amigos una vez más por aquí aportando contenido, está vez vengo con un mantenimiento que le realice a mi máquina desmalezadora o podadora, no se como les llaman en su pais.

Mi papá hace muchos años adquirió una máquina desmalezadora para cortar la grama y el monte del patio de la casa, luego cuando empecé a criar cabras está la dejamos de usa ya que ellas se iban comiendo el pasto y crecía muy poco.

Hace días limpiando y organizando la casa de mi papá la Vi por un rincón y la saqué para revisarla y hacerle mantenimiento porque en estos momentos me está haciendo falta.

Lo primero que hice fue girar el motor ay evaluar que no esté trancado o libre de compresión por los años sin usar, esto estaba de maravilla, solo veía polvo y suciedad, nada de que preocuparse.

Sigo revisando y me consigo con que la bomba cebadora del carburador estaba tostada y al oprimimirla me quedo en la mano, también note que las mangueras que alimentan combustible desde el tanque al carburador estaban dañadas.

La dejé así unos días mientras ubicaba los repuestos, lo primero que conseguí en varios lugares es que me querían vender el carburador completo en 30$ y no pensaba gastar tanto así que seguí buscando hasta llegar a una tienda agrícola donde me vendieron la bomba sola en 1$ y las mangueras que van al tanque en 2.5$.

Ahora sí me fui a casa y me dispuse a desmontar el carburador para cambiar la bomba.

Aproveche que estaba sin las tapas y sin el carburador para tener mejor acceso al chasis y limpiarlo bien y luego que todo esté limpio instalar el carburador y todas las tapas que había retirado.

Al terminar de armar todo hago nuevas a la bomba y hacia su trabajo muy bien así que ahora solo quedaba instalar las mangueras.

Por último para terminar el mantenimiento retire la bujía la revise, estaba bien solo la limpie y la queme un poco en la hornilla de la cocina y la instale de nuevo no quise arriesgarme de montar una bujía nueva por tema de la calidad de los productos que hay hoy en día.

Conseguí un amigo que hace poco vendió una moto dos tiempos y le pedí aceite para no gastar 10$ en un litro de aceite, esa cantidad que me dió me da como para 3 o 4 tanques de la máquina y eso se convierte en unos cinco usos de la máquina.

Para prenderla use un poco más de aceite de lo normal por el tiempo sin uso para que lubrique un poco más al acabarse esa mezcla si la preparo como manda el manual y listo ya operativa está gran herramienta.
