Saturday Hivechess is Back

Today was the kick-off for the Saturday Hivechess tournament, and this time it was the first tournament of many tournaments to come. If you would like to be a part of the tournament now that we just started, you can check out @sam.chess blog for more updates. It was not a pleasant start for me, I have to be honest. Defeat was the only thing I could receive from today's game.

I am not in the best shape thanks to my recent health, but not to worry, I am on medication already, so nothing to be scared about. I did not pay so much on the moves, as I just played anything random that came to my head at first sight, and for that I got my ass handed out to me. It was a product of multiple blows from all the players I had encountered with. Starting from the lowest-rated player, although I was lucky to get a win in that game and in the game against Tangibleay as well. This not my best performance in any of the Hive related tournament but I am not worried at all, as there are many more to come. I will simply take my L's and move on to looking forward to the next round. Hopefully I should be much better by then, health-wise and I will perform better.

My game aginst ZGM_samostically was a brought of the exposure of a weak king. A simple set of poor moves got my king into a bad position that I am sure the king was super surprised to find him in. It was the Bh4?? and got me looking weak on my castled king. It did not matter at that point when the black rook and queen had gotten the entrance. It was game over at this point. Only mate is coming very soon. I could not do anything else except the modest courtesy rather than reliving the checkmate.

On the next game, Jaki scholled me on the disadvantage of making random moves when your king is danger. My king was already in the battle for his dear life against the black queen and bishop forming a strong incoming attack and all I can do is make a random move c3. Who does that for crying out loud? Well that is what I did and the next set of moves that came next where forced mated that I could not block against.
