Hivechess Chess960 - Last Round for the year

Yesterday was the last round for the chess960 Hivechess and guess what I didn't remember the time for the event was different from the time for Friday Hivechess tournament. So I joined late. Around 20 minutes to the end of the tournament or so.

Nonetheless I had some spectacular games to show and I say this word spectacular because I am not a fan of chess960 but for some weird reason I played well in the last round. I think it's the last round effect. When it gets to the last round, players then to want to perform better.

The first game against tortyllan was a tough one given my history with him. The player has a plus score against me with the number of games we have played. Although it's just one plus but it feels like a lot. So you can see why I took it personal.
It wasn't hard for me to play well in this game since I just played random developing moves. It was like a typical game to me but it was so amazing I got an interesting position after all I have played. The best part I got to sac one piece but several pieces. In my thought, a total of three or so number of pieces which made it more exciting for me.

The game took a while and after several moves played from both sides I got fortunate because I won the game. It was a product of focusing of the game with the king which was my main objective from the start of the game. I think I have noticed that why it comes with chess960, it is all about who attacks the king first.

This was another game against Herby W. I have to be honest I thought I was going to lose this one because time was an enemy to me but for some stranger fortune I was lucky because my opponent dropped a full rook. I guessed the player forgot that there wasn't anything holding the rook and I took it as soon as I noticed it was free. I didn't waste time on that. It was the edge that got me the win in the game. From there on I got to win the game because I was able to convert into a win on the standing. Then got me the final position of 7 on the standing despite coming late.
