I'm a big fan of turn-based strategy games. I did play Warcraft and Starcraft + Brood War and Command & Conquer back in the day but I prefer Civilization-type games (4X - explore, expand, exploit, exterminate) and also Railroad Tycoon type games.

I play many 4X games and other building games. I found the action oriented games more appealing. I went through something similar with grand strategy games (Europa Universalis III).
