Clearly. Good conclusion. I enrolled in my third Master degree fully aware that it won't lead to a higher salary. Yet I wanted it to provide the framework and motivation for me to learn a new area.

wow third Master !! That's really unique! The important is that we are happy with our decisions, and even if we aren't, it is ok. I have a friend that went through Master's and PhD's and after that she saw that she was going in an automatic mode, but she never noticed that she wanted another path, now I think she is happy, it has been a while that I don't talk with her, but at least last time it looked like.
Well, as long as we live we strive to do better and become better persons. It's not as much about the outcome (although the outcome does provide useful feedback) as much as bout the flow - feeling that we are not wasting opportunities and trying our best
