My First Ever Concert

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing very fine. It's a beautiful Thursday, and I am very happy to be here again.

Early this month, I have had the opportunity to be hosted by my vocal coach. He organized an in-house concert for me, and it was so beautiful to have been hosted by him. Everyone around my state knows that he is good when it comes to music, and he is always known for excellence.

Last two years, I was so determined to grow musically, and I was all out to submit to someone to coach me. I wanted to be better, so I met people, and their prices were too much for me to pay. I felt so bad, as I really wanted to learn music and know it for myself.

So my church organized a music competition, and my friend told me that I should contest. I did not want to because I felt my church did not do the kind of music I wanted to do. But my friend did not stop telling me to contest, and I finally agreed to contest.

We start the process; we were trained for four weeks, and finally we were picked for the contest. On the day of the competition, I was so nervous, and I almost backed out because during the four weeks of training, every instructor told me that I was not doing well, so I got discouraged, but my friends told me that there was no harm in trying. Many contestants did so well, and I felt so down. I just told myself that when I get to the stage, I will not do too much and I will be very simple so that I don't make any mistakes. When I got to the stage, I did unimaginable things that I didn't plan for, and after my turn, the judges told me that I did so well, and that is when I met my vocal coach. When he was commending me, he told me that he was going to train me for free and make me grow. I was so happy, I did not even wait for the next when I called him to start the training. The first day he trained me, I started singing on a high pitch. Singing on high pitch was very difficult for me to do, but my coach showed me some techniques on how to do it.

After one year of training with him, he organized an in-house concert for me. He told me to invite people to come around and watch me sing, and after the concert he would assess my performance.

I started rehearsing with him and my background vocalist, together with some instrumentalists. The rehearsal did not even look so well; he was even telling me that I was not really doing very well.

When the D-Day came, I sang my best, and I was happy that I did not sing the Sam way I was singing before I met him.

Hold on to your dreams and keep growing in your craft.

I see these pictures and I imagine your powerful voice filling this stage full of musicians and many people in the choir, and I have never heard you sing, you should do it at the Hive Open Mic, there you will surely feel welcome. Thank you very much for joining #tbt Thursdays my friend, this time I would like to advise you not to repeat so many posts with the same pictures, that could bring you some problems in the future, in Hive the best thing is to share new and fresh content in every post. Here on Throwback Thursday you can do it eventually citing the sources where you have already shared it in the past, and so everything looks great 😘 A sincere hug for you my dear...

You know, it's always tricky to go out of comfort zone and trying. There is nothing bad in trying. You tried and got appreciation.

I feel so identified with your reading that I loved how you evolved to achieve a great presentation in such a short time. When I started my musical journey I had a lot of fears but I still took the risk and managed to reach my goal and today I am here being part of one of the largest musical communities in Hive. The key is to never give up and you did it very well.

I wish you continue to grow as a musician and that your successes continue to grow. A warm hug 🙌😀💛... You Rockkk!!! 👍😎🔥📷❤️
