Trying to remove selfishness
If I am to answer this very question of what I am to remove from the world, it would be this very act, which is bad and not accommodating.
SELFISHNESS
Selfishness is a situation in which one is only concerned about him- or herself to the extent of neglecting or even doing bad to others. This avf is very rampant in our society and should be tried to be avoided.Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live; it is asking others to live as one wishes to live." — Oscar Wilde. That action is really uncalled for in our daily lives as children of light. You now do not live as you wish either but still invite others to live as you would want to live your own life.
In Nigeria, my country, it has really deteriorated the economy and resources of our country. One now does carry both for him or herself and now accommodatesonly him or herself, which is very bad.
We are called to serve others and not the other way round. Even if we would still want others to serve us, we should still open hands to do what is necessary. One woman came to an occasion in which they all attended as guests; no one knew she would be called to share food. Just at that small elevation, they were all complaining about how hungry they had been since morning till then. She started dishing out very little portion to them. After which she concealed the whole to her house, claiming there is no food to enjoy all at the hunger of others. It was very bad and not worth emulating.
We should not do it because it is a bad action. Whatever we have should be very much enough for us. Now enjoying at the detriment of others pays absolutely nothing. When their sadness is now your joy, it is the worst.
weaker social bonds, increased conflict, and a decline in community support, creating environments of distrust are some negative effect of this action. That woman, had others found out, might have started a quarrel, and that distrust has been there, in which, on subsequent occasions, she might not be given that very opportunity in the society.
Trying to remove selfishness is very important and we should everywhere every time we find ourselves by God's grace and mercy.
