That We May Overcome

Sunday Blessings: Wishing we hivers the favours and blessings of this great day.

Today is the First Sunday of Lent, and all we have to say is a very big thank you to Jesus Christ for everything he has been doing, is doing, and will do for us all.

We are reminded of many things on this great day. Things which we should hold onto as sons and daughters of God.

The Israelite brought their First Fruit to the Altar of Almighty God. What is this reminding us of?. We have one thing as businesses or office jobs that we use to make ends. We labor, but in all the good Lord is the one who gives us all the graces in that work we are doing. As appreciation for everything, we should always bring our first fruit to him, the author and finisher of our faith.

Be with me, Lord, when I am in distress. 🙏. The psalmist is proclaiming that the Lord would be with him in a time of distress. This is also our prayer for the Lord to always help us in all ramifications in life.

The temptations of Jesus Christ happened three times. Christ was tempted and overcame Satan. We hope by his grace to always overcome temptation, and may we not be gaslighting to lure and lead others rather than always overcome. He was a man and has already suffered that in which we are suffering, so we hope that we can overcome also by God's grace. Those sins also in which we have been victims, we hope for forgiveness and pardon for them. Gaslighting can act as luring people into one thing or the other. We hope that we should not act as gaslighting to others.

We hope that we may overcome temptations in ways in which they may seem to come in our ways and be victorious by God's grace.
