Taxes are much

This tax of a thing is one thing that is really becoming very alarming in my country. One of the days you remember when I came to the university newly, I had a cousin that worked in the university that I was staying with. We were going to the university as he was going to work, while I, on the other hand, was going to the classroom for studies or for my registration. We engaged in a conversation and were discussing all these taxes. One thing I was trying to make him understand is that this tax does not affect everyone. Oh, really? I thought 🤔.

I was telling him that all the payment was done by those who have companies, whereas we who don't have the government really don't know how to go about collecting taxes from us. Oh, he was really amazed at me and explained things to me. Oh, we don't pay directly to the government, but of a truth, we pay indirectly and greatly to them. Come to think of what you bought a few years back and the price at which you are buying it at the present time. He told me that all the companies from which they collect the taxes sum up everything as expenses and still add it up to the goods affecting the final consumer.

These taxes are so high that virtually almost everything you are doing, you are required to pay to the government. Even for the digital post of advertisement, people still pay. People pay to the extent of getting really tired of payment. One after the other, groups are coming to collect one payment or the other. The business premises would come, the sanitization would come, and security, come to think of it, more groups would collect levies for the shops.

As I stated, I don't pay directly. I personally don't do what the government would come to me for any form of payment. There is really no fixed amount they collect, but in truth it still comes from goods and services that I would get from people.

As for Anambra State, where I live, coming back the other time, the place was really glittering, and there was applauding of the governor for the good works that he is really doing. Taxes are collected, but still yet they are being put into the running of the infrastructure, though we don't expect all our income to be used, as the money can still come from other sources in the country.

The government, both in Enugu, as I have heard comments that are good, is already trying to utilize the taxes, but it seems as if the money being collected is really much, and it should be worked towards reduction so that people's earnings would not be almost divided in sorting out taxes.

Taxes are much and, of a truth, should be reduced for the good of common men.
