Breaking Free

This stigma is like an aftereffect of something that might have happened. People are stigmatized for the issue in which they might be in or also for the one in which they might have passed through and overcome already. In a situation like this, to me, is where self-love can really set in for us all. As far as the bygone is already gone, it would not really be what would define you in the person's life in which you are living. We should never ever allow that to shape us in life. One should engage in activities that would boost your confidence and make you feel better. Then probably one may also be in that very situation, also hopefully for the very best, which might come through your way by God's grace.

This stigma one has set in the next line of action is now how to really deal with it and be an overcomer by God's grace and mercy in our lives.

Changing mindset is one great thing to always embrace in stigma. Personally, to have a U-turn in thought is a good thing in life, especially when that is not working out in the way in which it is supposed to. Reminding oneself that stigma doesn't define us is amazing. That one mistake, that situation, is not that which would define our whole being in life, and we would see ourselves thriving by God's grace. After that, then comes focusing on our personal growth. Growth is one thing at which we should always aim; we ought to do that which would always make us climb up from a particular place to another. Forward ever is what we should always aim at in life, and hopefully God will perfect everything else for us.

Negativity should now be shunned by us in the situation. Challenging negative thoughts and now replacing them with positive ones is a good exercise.

Education and enlightenment are also good things. Knowledge is power and should always be upheld. One should greatly understand the root cause of stigma and try to avoid it. Then also one should always educate people not for any reason to stigmatize others in life. Correct misinformation when you hear it; those can lead to people being stigmatized in their environment.

Building a support system is good. People can support others in different ways. In such situations, surrounding oneself with people that uplift you is the best—those who can help you out of your shell to be better again. One can also share issues with trusted friends or a counselor who can help out. Friends who are always there to pull you up and give you great listening ears can also share in your problems and joy with you.

Breaking free is a good thing. One thing or the other might have led to that, but we should always try to break the chains and live very well.

We keep hoping for the best. 🙏

Stigma can be dangerous, but when we love ourselves and not let peoples word define us, we'll speak through.
