Idiot alert : The flying filth

Well in this case, I got to experience an idiocy firsthand and trust me it didn't end well.

Sometime ago, I had stepped out of the house with a jerry can with the intention of purchasing diesel at the nearest petrol station which was twenty minutes on foot but of course, lesser time with a motorcycle.

I rather choose to walk since I hadn't exercised for like forever. With my eyes on the motion/ steps counter I set up on my phone, I began my quest.

I walked all the way up the street and got to the express way before I knew it. Treading the pedestrian walkway, I could sight the station and eagerly walked on. Until I saw a guy, notched up in slightly faded denim jeans and a hoodie.

What rather caught my attention was the black garbage bag he held on his left hand and I rolled my eyes, instantly knowing what his intentions were.

Some people in my country have normalised the act of dumping their household waste on the median strip, despite the fact that there are dumpsters staged in strategic locations as well as sanitation workers who go about in trucks and even tricycles, collecting wastes from houses.

I could have sworn I stared at him longer than I should and that too, in irritation but I kept walking anyway.

Mind you, people who dump theirs on the median strip cross over there, drop it down and cross back over but I bet the devil was having a good laugh at me who thought that would be the case.

This guy stood right on the sidewalk, swung the garbage bag back and forth, increasing his speed at each swing and finally let it go at some point.

He was probably/ foolishly expecting it had land on the median strip but guess what?... It fell right on the windscreen of a car which was being driven a bit too fast and within the twinkle of an eye, the car collided with the two nearest cars, infront and beside it respectively.

I stood with my mouth agape, struggling to digest the fact that the whole thing actually happened. Meanwhile, the car owners and their respective occupants had stormed out, making our certified idiot a spectacle.
