Cuckoo in my head, Rockabye in my soul - #TTT

Still wondering why it took me this long to join in the Ttt challenge despite claiming to be a music lover (which is 101 percent true anyways). I'm just glad I'm finally popping in... new year, improved me innit? Lol.

I got to know this lovely contest was put in place by @ablaze and I can't help but hold him in high regards for this initiative. Especially after learning that it's been going on beautifully for a pretty long while.

At first, I couldn't seem to decide whether or not to pick my selections all from the same or different artists. Not until my phone rang and I ended up singing along to my ringtone, so lost that I failed to receive the call until it timed out.

That was all it took for me to make my decision and here I am, sharing with y'all lovely tunes from Anne Marie.
A good number of you are probably familiar with her and would agree with me that she's a great artist, jaw-dropping vocals, heartwarming and equally playful chaos lyrics... And much more.

Rockabye is her first song I ever listened to and yes, it isn't her single. Syncing with clean bandit and Sean Paul, the song was released as far back as 2016 conveying the challenges, hardships and sacrifices that comes with motherhood.

The song is more focused on single moms though, portraying their unfiltered love, strength and ever- sheltering presence in the lives of their babies. Which all but applies to every worthy mother out there.

I like to say Rockabye is a danceable song, if indeed you wanna to dance like no one's watching, lol.

Cuckoo is a single of Anne's, released in 2023 and it's eggxactly what I mean by playful chaos. A mix of her raw, personal side and the chaos that tags along with it. A terrific vibe!

Of all three, Who I am relates to me most though Cuckoo isn't much different. Released in 2021, it's among her Therapy album which consists of 11 other tracks.

All other wordings in the song with the exception, "all my nails, chewed upppp" 🎶 cause hey, I don't chew my nails, are so me... Stubborn, clumsy, late goer, crybaby...
