Its probably a mix of trying to get easy upvotes, lazy and maybe dont understand that this type of action doesnt work.
Rethread has its purpose, but you should not only donit because you add very little value.

I don't like it when they rethread without saying nothing. If you rethread, then add your own opinion to what the person said.
