The Mystery Solved: My Daily Coffee Log [ENG-ESP]

How many cups of coffee do you drink a day?

I asked myself the same question recently, when I felt I wasn't drinking enough coffee. When this happens, sleepiness and physical exhaustion get the better of me, and therefore, the day is not as productive. In this month of March, where I worked a lot, I made a habit of not letting my espresso or my latte out of my sight. However, trying to improve my habit so as not to overlook my daily dose of coffee, I decided to record every moment I drank a cup. I was very surprised with the results (😁).

I woke up last Wednesday at 7:30 AM. After my personal hygiene habits, I drank a cup of fairly concentrated coffee without much sugar. In the mornings it is impossible to leave the house without some caffeine in my body. So, that was my first cup of the day. After that I went to the Gym; halfway through my workout, I drank another cup (this time small) of espresso. This doesn't repeat itself so constantly, as it depends on whether the coffee shop at the Gym I go to has coffee, and it usually runs out pretty quickly. As it is not so recurrent, I did not consider it as my second cup of coffee a day.

Then came work, from noon to night.

The second cup of coffee has to be at 2:00 PM, something that is a challenge for me because sometimes I work outside the house and I have to make a big effort to prepare it. Regardless of the time, I usually drink a medium cup. For this occasion I had to work at home, so it was easier for me to drink it at 2:00 PM, when I am at my PC transcribing some report or designing some structure.

I found that during the afternoon, when I am on my work schedule, I drink more coffee than usual. That Wednesday afternoon I drank two cups, each half an hour apart. Coffee usually helps me to speed up my thinking and to have more concentration. Plus, it gives me that feeling that I enjoy my work and that's great.

When I finish work, I usually take a shower and make my usual latte.

I can drink a latte at any time of the day, but definitely during the night is much better. I only drink one cup, before I eat dinner. If it's during sunset, the feeling is better. So, if I do a count so far, latte would be my fourth cup of coffee.

IMG_20250328_183513.jpg

So, the (average) amount of cups I drink is 4 cups, usually in medium or small cups, depending on how stressed I am, XD. If I go to some coffee shop, then it would be 5 cups (😆). Now then. This count only pertains to one day, so, if I only include the cups of coffee I drink without extra cups, that would be about 3 cups.

That explains why I sometimes feel like I don't drink enough coffee.

I already know that at busy times, I should drink at least about 4 cups, especially if I'm at home. Keeping a log really helped me understand more about my own habit, and I really liked it. Have you ever created your own log? I'll read you in the comments!

Si voy a alguna cafetería, entonces serían 5 tazas (😆). Ahora bien.

¿Alguna vez has creado tu propio registro? ¡Te leo en los comentarios!

Hey there!
Please see our community rules. We ask for all original images. Not Canva, not sourced images, and not AI-created images.
Coffee is a regular item/beverage that is used daily, and we think it's a simple task to ask authors to provide images that they took themselves.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Hi.

I didn't use 100% digital images, I just edited my photos in templates to give a better visual aspect to the publication. So, I removed that editing and just attached the photo in the post, as you suggested.

Thanks for the reminder.

Hehehe, you have counted your coffee intake, it's true that leaving the house without drinking coffee is torture. For those times when you are not at home in the afternoons, you could bring a thermos to be prepared. Certainly, in the afternoons we drink more coffee than in the morning, that is my case. Greetings

I'm considering carrying a small thermos of coffee whenever I leave the house, so I don't miss out on my cup of coffee. XD

I usually have two cups of coffee a day, or sometimes just one cup. Oh, by the way, I am not using a cup instead, I used a mug which is way bigger than a cup. LOL.

The big mugs are pretty good, when I really want to drink coffee, I use them XD.
