Hablemos sobre Platzi: ¿la mejor opción para aprender? [ESP-ENG]

En una era tan digitalizada como la nuestra, es muy probable que el FOMO llegue a nuestros oídos y nos intente seducir. Miramos tantas cosas en las redes sociales que, en definitiva, nos gana la ansiedad de aventurarnos por esos caminos de éxitos y saberes. El problema es: ¿Cómo hacerlo? O ¿es realmente cierto eso que me dicen? Si de algo hay que cuidarnos en estos días, es de los charlatanes, ¡hay muchos charlatanes que intentan venderte algo que ellos no tienen! Y eso, amigos míos, es muy peligroso. Por suerte, Platzi es un punto y aparte a esa onda de Scams y mentiras. Por experiencia propia, lo he comprobado.

In an era as digitalized as ours, it is very likely that FOMO reaches our ears and tries to seduce us. We look at so many things on social networks that, in the end, we are won over by the anxiety of venturing down those paths of success and knowledge. The problem is: How to do it? Or Is that what they tell me? If there is something to beware of these days, it is charlatans, there are many charlatans who try to sell you something they don't have! And that, my friends, is very dangerous. Luckily, Platzi is a break from that wave of Scams and lies. From my own experience, I have seen for myself.

En diciembre del año pasado recibí un regalo maravilloso por parte de @eddiespino y @elizabeths14: obtuve una beca en Platzi. Este año inicié en modo "aprendizaje", intentando ampliar mis conocimientos en varias áreas relacionadas con el mundo digital. Desde el 2023 he tenido el deseo de abrir mis horizontes al Marketing, no solo como un desafío creativo e intelectual, sino que también como una manera de ampliar mis oportunidades laborales o de emprendimiento. En el año 2022 hice un curso de Copywriting que me ayudó muchísimo a entender el fenómeno de la persuasión, importante, además, en la creación de contenido.

Para aquel entonces no pude descargar el certificado, pues para ello debía pagar un plan algo costoso. Gracias a la beca que tengo ahora, ya puedo hacerlo; de hecho, este certificado lo descargué casi al mismo instante que me concedieron el acceso a Platzi. Ese día fue muy emocionante.

In December last year I received a wonderful gift from @eddiespino and @elizabeths14: I got a scholarship at Platzi. This year I started in "learning" mode, trying to expand my knowledge in several areas related to the digital world. Since 2023 I have had the desire to open my horizons to Marketing, not only as a creative and intellectual challenge but also as a way to expand my job opportunities or entrepreneurship. In 2022 I took a Copywriting course that helped me a lot to understand the phenomenon of persuasion, which is also important in the creation of content.

At that time I could not download the certificate, because I had to pay for a somewhat expensive plan. Thanks to the scholarship I now have, I can now do so; in fact, I downloaded this certificate almost as soon as I was granted access to Platzi. That day was very exciting.

Antes de siquiera aventurarme a estudiar, acostumbro a esbozar un plan de estrategias para rendir mi tiempo y sacar todo el provecho posible al aprendizaje. Esto lo empecé a hacer desde que estudié ingeniería, y fue tan bueno, que me gradué como el mejor de mi escuela (ingeniería civil) y de la universidad a nivel nacional (Venezuela). No estoy siendo arrogante, solo explico la importancia de seccionar hábitos de estudio para lograr nuestras metas. Después de organizar un pequeño formato para los cursos que vería en Platzi, en este mes lo puse en práctica y me funcionó muchísimo.

¡Completé 5 cursos en tan solo un mes! Por supuesto, sin considerar los que estoy viendo ahora y culminaré en los próximos días.

Una de las leyes que aplico para estudiar algo, es seleccionar la "relación" que eso tiene con otras cosas. Por ejemplo: Platzi te ofrece un montón de cursos en un montón de categorías y niveles, no obstante, no puedes saltar de un curso a otro en todas las categorías posibles. Mi recomendación es que te enfoques en áreas específicas, e intentes capacitarte lo más que puedas en dichas áreas. Las que yo elegí fueron:

• Marketing.

• Producción Audiovisual.

• Inglés.

Before even venturing to study, I am used to outlining a plan of strategies to make the most of my time and get the most out of learning. I started to do this when I studied engineering, and it was so good, that I graduated as the best in my school (civil engineering) and university at a national level (Venezuela). I am not being arrogant, I am just explaining the importance of sectioning study habits to achieve our goals. After organizing a small format for the courses I would watch on Platzi, this month I put it into practice and it worked out great.

**I completed 5 courses in just one month! Of course, without considering the ones I am watching now, and will complete in the next few days.

One of the laws that I apply to study something, is to select the "relationship" that it has with other things. For example: Platzi offers you a lot of courses in a lot of categories and levels, however, you cannot jump from one course to another in all possible categories. My recommendation is that you focus on specific areas, and try to train as much as you can in those areas. The ones I chose were:

• Marketing.

• Audiovisual Production.

• English.

En la escuela de Marketing me certifiqué en "Content Marketing" pero como esta es solo una subcategoría de una misma área de especialización, pues me certifiqué en "Content Marketing Avanzado". Ahora mismo, estoy estudiando "Social Media Manager" pero como esta tiene correlación con "Comunity Manager**" pues también la estudiaré.

En el área audiovisual, me certifiqué en "Creación de Podcasts" pero como está relacionada con la voz y la dicción, pues también me certifiqué en "Locución." Gracias a ello, pude comenzar a elaborar mi primer proyecto de Podcast profesional junto a @marybellrg, el cual se llama "Vibras de escritores", y puedes escuchar aquí. Un poco más allá, en relación con el término visual, me certifiqué en Edición de Video en Capcut.

Con respecto a la escuela de inglés, estoy en el nivel B1 y por ende, he decidido arrancar con los cursos entre estos finales de enero y principios de febrero. Estoy organizando mi agenda para maximizar el aprendizaje sin que impactes con mis actuales labores.

In Marketing school I got certified in "Content Marketing" but since this is only a subcategory of the same area of specialization, I got certified in "Advanced Content Marketing". Right now, I am studying "Social Media Manager" but as this correlates with "Community Manager**" I will also study it.

In the audiovisual area, I got certified in "Podcast Creation" but as it is related to voice and diction, well I also got certified in "Speech." Thanks to that, I was able to start elaborating my first professional Podcast project together with @marybellrg, which is called "Vibes of Writers", and you can listen here. A little further, about the visual term, I got certified in **_Video Editing at Capcut.

Regarding the English school, I am at B1 level and therefore, I have decided to start with the courses between the end of January and the beginning of February. I am organizing my schedule to maximize learning without impacting my current work.

En definitiva, Platzi es una excelente plataforma para aprender en múltiples áreas, incluso en las más inusuales. Estoy enamorado de esa modalidad virtual que tienen para educar a cada estudiante, además de la interfaz y los múltiples casos de uso en los que podemos desempeñarnos una vez que estemos certificados. Sin duda, es una excelente opción para capacitarnos y mejorar nuestras habilidades.

Estoy muy agradecido con Eddie Spino por esta oportunidad que me ha brindado. Y como tal como dice el eslogan de Platzi:

In short, Platzi is an excellent platform to learn in multiple areas, even in the most unusual ones. I am in love with the virtual modality they have to educate each student, in addition to the interface and the multiple use cases that we can perform once we are certified. Without a doubt, it is an excellent option to train and improve our skills.
