A hot coffee to cure ailments

Today I came home with a different feeling: for some reason my throat was a little sore and I was cold even though it was warm. The first thing that came to my mind was the flu, as in the last few days there are many people who have caught it. I didn't want to do anything but sleep and rest, although somehow I assumed that if I did, it was going to be worse. I got out of bed and I thought of making hot coffee to wake up my body. Believe it or not, drinking coffee helps a lot when unexpected colds or flus invade.

I went out into my garden for a moment to look at my tulips, and the feeling was even better from drinking coffee. Nothing but me and my cup, running away from the ingrained aches and pains of the flu... it's a therapy that has helped me many times.

When I have a cold or the flu, my first thought is to drink something warm. My body asks for it right away. I decide between tea or coffee; if it's late at night, I choose the first option: I prepare a ginger tea with chamomile. But, on the other hand, if it's still early in the morning, I choose a concentrated coffee without too much sugar. I am not a person who is usually attacked by flu viruses, but when one catches me, I know it is a strong one. A cup of coffee helps me to stay in bed, and to stay active during my working hours - it's very hard to work when you're sick! Sometimes, if the discomfort is too strong, I force myself to take a little break in the garden, in front of the sun, to cheer up the body. Of course, coffee is the main ingredient.

It feels so good to drink coffee outdoors; I chose a little shade and sat down, wishing the day would stay cool. The piping hot coffee woke me up immediately and helped lift my spirits. I prepared it as my grandmother had taught me one day: she has the habit of not adding sugar if it is to be drunk to perk up the body, but I had to add two spoonfuls because I wanted to give my throat some sweetness.

I hate getting sick because it can slow down my activities. Sometimes it's impossible to avoid it, so I look for ways to take care of myself to heal quickly. When I get the flu, I usually drink more coffee than usual. I feel that the hot coffee helps me relax, and actually keeps my body from hurting. I've gotten used to being active, so hot coffee really helps me to be active. Furthermore, I actually got a lot done today. In addition, I thought I would get a fever, as I was already feeling some chills, and yet I was able to hold my own in the garden. I didn't sit still for long, as I also walked around and photographed a few things. The afternoon was spectacular! I found many ants on the tulips; this is an indication that the rains may return.

As the cup was small, I had to look for more coffee in the kitchen. Luckily, I don't have to travel long distances. Although I was feeling a little flu-like discomfort, my body felt active. I took the opportunity to cut some tulips before they wilt; I like to grow their seeds. I like to keep my coffee cup close to me because every now, and then I crave a sip. The hotter the drink, the better the feeling for me.

Does coffee help you on your grayest days?

I think today was a bit of a gray day because of that sudden body discomfort caused by the flu. I'm angry that I got it for the holidays, although I'm already undergoing a small treatment to recover quickly. Coffee, of course, helps me a lot. They say that coffee cures everything, and I think it is very true.

Coffee cures even lost souls... nothing is impossible for coffee and there is nothing that a cup of coffee can't fix 😉.

It's great how a simple cup of coffee can help improve and soothe a bad day. Despite the flu, you make it clear that coffee, in conjunction with a little sunshine and nature, can lift your spirits. The family connection is all about comfort. 😌I'm one of those who also believe that coffee helps cure ailments.
