Sometimes nature sends us gifts we never even asked for that. It just fill our hearts. On a old wall of our village home, a small plant has grown all of a sudden and covered with new green leaves. This is - Athyrium filix-femina, or Lady Fern. Its soft and serene presence struck me. It flourished from a small crack of the wall.

I was surprised, closely it looked so nice. When I examined leaves closely, I saw a amazing pattern. The leaves move nicely with the breeze, as they are dancing in the light and shadow. This plant loves shade and moisture, so our bricks wall was the perfect home for it. Lady Ferns have soft smooth leaves. When run across the skin, it feels quite soft. In my thoughts it is different from other ferns because of its unique shape and texture. It resembles a little piece of art in nature.

Lady Fern prefers shady spots with little direct sun. The remarkable thing is it can survive in locations where most other plants are unable to. Not only the lady fern on the wall looks beautiful, but they are also good for the environment. This small touch of green has transformed a common part of our home into something special.

I took a few photos of it so that I can recall its beauty. Sometimes nature makes such incredible stuff that we could not believe it without seeing it. Having this greenery on our wall gives a subtle sense of peace.
