The Beatles, art and a pastry shop / Los Beatles, el arte y una pastelería
Anything allusive to The Beatles, one of my favorite bands, catches my attention, so when I found out that there would be an exhibition of paintings about them in the city, I didn't want to miss it.
Cualquier cosa alusiva a Los Beatles, uno de mis grupos favoritos, me llama la atención, así que cuando me enteré que habría una exposición de pinturas sobre ellos en la ciudad, no quise perdérmela.
Besides, the place was not the usual one for an art show, a museum or gallery for example, but a pastry shop, and as I had never visited it, I was curious since I have seen their creations on social networks and they look delicious.
Además, el lugar no era el habitual para una muestra de arte, un museo o galería por ejemplo, sino una pastelería, y como nunca la había visitado, tenía curiosidad ya que he visto sus creaciones por redes sociales y se ven deliciosas.
We arrived just at the appointed time, 11:00 am, I went with my sister and my mom, and when we entered the artists were already there chatting. I looked at some of the paintings while we waited for the formal opening and I also approached the counter to see the desserts.
Llegamos justo a la hora convocada, 11:00 am, fui con mi hermana y mi mamá, y cuando entramos ya estaban los artistas allí conversando. Miré algunos de los cuadros mientras esperábamos por la inauguración formal y también me acerqué al mostrador para ver los dulces.
The pastry's shop space is small, but very cozy, Beatles songs were playing in the background and there was the aroma of coffee in the air, which was then offered to all of us who were there.
El espacio de la pastelería es pequeño, pero muy acogedor, sonaban canciones de los Beatles de fondo y había aroma de café en el ambiente, que luego nos ofrecieron a todos los que estábamos allí.
We chose a table and I went to order desserts for the three of us, we decided on chocolate truffles, very good!
Escogimos una mesa y fui a pedir unos postres para las tres, nos decidimos por unas trufas de chocolate, ¡muy buenas!
Now let's move on to the paintings on display, 12 in total, works by the students of the Art School of the Centro Hispano Venezolano of Maracay (Aragua State, Venezuela).
Pasemos ahora a las pinturas expuestas, 12 en total, obras de los estudiantes de la Escuela de Arte del Centro Hispano Venezolano de Maracay (estado Aragua, Venezuela).
As you can see, the styles of each painting are very different, classical, Pop Art, cubism; and as for the techniques, there are acrylic on canvas, mixed media on canvas and acrylic on MDF.
Como pueden ver, los estilos de cada cuadro son muy diferentes, clásico, Pop Art, cubismo; y en cuanto a las técnicas, están el acrílico sobre tela, mixta sobre tela y acrílico sobre MDF.
This exhibition of Beatles paintings, which will be at Orobet's pastry shop from October 5 to 26, was scheduled on this date in honor of John Lennon's birthday (October 9).

Some of these works were available for sale, with prices ranging from $40 to $200.
Algunas de estas obras estaban disponibles para la venta, con precios entre los 40 y 200 dólares.
The organizers of the exhibition commented that among the participating artists, the age range was very wide, with the youngest being a 12 year old girl. See her work in the photo below.
Los organizadores de la exposición comentaron que entre los artistas participantes, el abanico de edades era muy amplio, siendo la más joven una niña de 12 años. Vean su obra en la foto que sigue.
The cultural initiative of this pastry shop seems to me a great idea, since in the city of La Victoria there are few spaces for these purposes, and any place is good to expand people's minds through art, don't you think?
La iniciativa cultural de esta pastelería me parece una idea genial, ya que en la ciudad de La Victoria hay pocos espacios para estos fines, y cualquier lugar es bueno para expandir la mente de las personas a través del arte, ¿no creen?
I liked all the works, each one with its own style, I hope you enjoyed watching them as much as I did 😃. For me The Beatles plus a delicious dessert, is without a doubt an excellent combination 😋.
