Price of Obedience

        Chapter 2.

Well as time went on Abi became worst, she made friends with people of same character and even headed the crew. Mr. Adeleke was beginning to loose his mind over Abi's continuos frustrating lifestyle. It though looked like all advice given to Abi from parents, siblings, uncles and well wishers was drastically falling on deaf ears; it was just a clear example of pouring water on a rock, it had no impact on her neither did it change her way of thinking or actions instead she became worst. Each time she's been advised, she creates a scene more bigger than the earlier afformentioned. Modupe Abi's mom would cry out her eyes telling the whole community that she had never brought up Abi that way; hence spoilt eggs are always accreditted to the woman. Abike's case was no different.
At a point Mr. Adeleke got his daughter a therapist; who came to the house twice a week to help her in anger management. The Adeleke's hoped so much in the process that Abi might change for the better.
On a very sunny day, Abi's mom was sleeping when she heard the sound of a crying girl only to come out and see a very despicable act displayed by Abi. Abi earlier on had just finished her therapeutic section and had pretended to be tired so that Miss Roselyn her therapist would leave; not less than an hour after she left Abi sprang to her next move. She and her crew had earlier planned to go on a walk around the market square. Immediately she got dressed and came out a girl passed by wearing a pink gown and golden sandals, Abi felt embarrassed because Bethel who was known to be the daughter of Mr. Tolu, a palm wine tapper, wore same dress as her and was looking elegant in it. Bethel on the other hand was happy because she saw Abi dress on same cloth as hers. Little did she knew that Abi was angered that a daughter of a pauper would wear same dress as her.

This made Abi bounced on Bethel beating and tearing her dress thereby almost rendering Bethel naked. Bethels cry from the gate woke Abi's mom, on getting to the gate Abi had disfigured Bethel's face with the iron from the sandals she had cut to pieces. It hurt Modupe to see what Abi a daughter she thought to love people as herself, to treasure peoples happiness as she would hers had done. Modupe scolded Abi and helped Bethel up, she got her a new dress and made sure she was taken home. Abi boiled and rained brimstones through out the whole day. She refused to eat that her mom choosed a nobody over her. Her mom was angered and perplexed at the fact that a fourteen year old child decided to disdain and treat people with so much disrespect and hate. When Abi's dad returned he was shocked to hear what his daughter had done again, he and Hus wife did not fail to discipline her accurately.But, Amidst everything the saying that a child can not be trashed with its pampers simple because it passed excreter was elegantly shown in the case of Abi. Her family still loved her unconditionally.
