Hello Afri-tunes community, welcome to week #99 of our weekly contest promoting and celebrating African tunes on the hive blockchain.... I trust we all are doing good. For this week's entry I'd be performing a song by Nigerian Afro-life, R&B singer-songwriter "Fireboy Dml" called "Jealous". This was notably the first song that brought Fireboy into the limelight. I have chosen this song because it's one that I love so much and Fireboy is one of my favourite artistes, great vocals and his pen game is really dope. I love his sound and style 😎

This song is for that vibe that transcended into a weekend together then into feelings. It was supposed to be a no strings attached fling but somewhere along the line feelings got involved, you want the vibe all to yourself. Now that your lover is gone with the wind, there’s an incessant longing. The song Jealous basically talks about one's desire to be the only one around a lover or friend, you can't stand your love interest being around anyone else except you. You're scared of losing them, really insecure that they may be snatched from you. It's meant to be just a fling,a one night stand ,having fun ...well at least that's what you thought but now you're all into this person, you're addicted and want them all to yourself. You want her to fall for you as you have fallen for her..It was all fun and games till you fell in love with her and now you expect her to feel same way forgetting how it all started. She has someone else in her life who is not you but then she enjoyed the moment (fling) with you and didn't expect anything more than that with you. You then become heartbroken, sad and jealous🥺. Para la entrada de esta semana, interpretaría una canción del cantautor nigeriano de R&B Afro-life "Fireboy Dml" llamada "Jealous". Esta fue notablemente la primera canción que llevó a Fireboy al centro de atención. Elegí esta canción porque es una que amo mucho y Fireboy es uno de mis artistas favoritos, tiene una voz excelente y su juego de bolígrafos es realmente genial. Me encanta su sonido y estilo 😎

Esta canción es para esa vibra que trascendió a un fin de semana juntos y luego a sentimientos. Se suponía que iba a ser una aventura sin ataduras, pero en algún momento los sentimientos se involucraron, quieres la vibra para ti solo. Ahora que tu amante se fue con el viento, hay un anhelo incesante. La canción Jealous básicamente habla del deseo de uno de ser el único con un amante o amigo, no puedes soportar que tu interés amoroso esté con nadie más que contigo. Tienes miedo de perderlos, estás realmente inseguro de que te los arrebaten. Está destinado a ser sólo una aventura, una aventura de una noche, divertirse... bueno, al menos eso es lo que pensabas, pero ahora estás completamente interesado en esta persona, eres adicto y los quieres todos para ti. Quieres que ella se enamore de ti como tú te enamoraste de ella... Todo fue diversión y juegos hasta que te enamoraste de ella y ahora esperas que ella sienta lo mismo olvidando cómo empezó todo. Ella tiene a alguien más en su vida que no eres tú, pero luego disfrutó el momento (aventura) contigo y no esperaba nada más que eso contigo. Entonces te sientes desconsolado, triste y celoso🥺.
