Hello music community, how's everyone doing?.... I trust we all are doing okay, Happy new month friends 😀. For this week, I'd be performing a song by English singer and songwriter Sam Smith called "I'm not the only one". This song was released a decade ago (2014) and is still one of my all time favourites of Sam Smith. I've always loved listening to this song and I'm so glad I get to perform it for you guys here. This soulful ballad explores the themes of unfaithfulness and extramarital relations in a union. The song explains the sad realities of life for some people in relationships. Marriage is meant to be sacred and honoured but then people could care less these days, doing whatever they feel like at the moment and ignoring the effects it might have on their partner. Staying faithful and loyal to someone who isn't faithful to you really sucks, you honour the vow you both made on your wedding day which says for better, for worse. These days people tend to leave when the going gets tough and rough. They try to blame it on you, gaslighting you into thinking you're the problem, like you're crazy and leaving out the part where they messed up cause they think you're so dumb and wouldn't find out what they did. They make you feel like you ain't good enough or even worth it despite your self-discipline, sacrifices and love towards them 😢. You don't even feel special when they call you babe anymore cause you know you're not the only one 😭. I do hope you all enjoy 🎧 my cover of this beautiful record, have a lovely weekend 🥂.

Esta semana interpretaría una canción del cantante y compositor inglés Sam Smith llamada "I'm not the only one". Esta canción fue lanzada hace una década (2014) y sigue siendo una de mis favoritas de todos los tiempos de Sam Smith. Siempre me ha encantado escuchar esta canción y estoy muy feliz de poder cantarla para ustedes aquí. Esta balada conmovedora explora los temas de la infidelidad y las relaciones extramatrimoniales en una unión. La canción explica las tristes realidades de la vida de algunas personas en sus relaciones. El matrimonio debe ser sagrado y honrado, pero hoy en día a la gente no le importa, haciendo lo que les apetece en ese momento e ignorando los efectos que podría tener en su pareja. Mantenerse fiel y leal a alguien que no te es fiel realmente apesta, honras el voto que ambos hicieron el día de tu boda que dice para bien o para mal. Hoy en día la gente tiende a marcharse cuando las cosas se ponen difíciles y difíciles. Intentan echarte la culpa a ti, haciéndote creer que eres el problema, como si estuvieras loco y dejando de lado la parte en la que se equivocaron porque piensan que eres tan tonto que no descubrirías lo que hicieron. Te hacen sentir que no eres lo suficientemente bueno o que ni siquiera vales la pena a pesar de tu autodisciplina, sacrificios y amor hacia ellos 😢.
