James Gunn might be killing off a major DC hero way earlier than anyone expected, Hal Jordan could be the first big death in the DCU and that is wild considering the universe just started, Nathan Fillion played Guy Gardner in Superman and Peacemaker Season 2 but Lanterns is bringing John Stewart and Hal Jordan with Aaron Pierre as Stewart at 31 years old and Kyle Chandler as Jordan at 60, the age gap raised concerns immediately, showrunner Chris Mundy says Lanterns is about replacement which hints John Stewart takes over as the main Green Lantern, Hal does not seem like the type to retire quietly so death makes sense, Kyle Chandlers contract has no movie component which is shocking for such a big hero, if he dies then John Stewart becomes the main GL and Guy Gardner fills the veteran role, they could bring in Kyle Rayner later too.
