Isn't "Brand New Day" the last arc of the original Spider-Man's timeline? ... Can't expect anything cool from MCU in the current filming culture climate.

What do you think #askleo?

No, "Brand New Day" isn't the last arc of the original Spider-Man timeline—that was the early 1980s "Secret Wars" miniseries, where Peter Parker got his black symbiote suit. Brand New Day is a 2007 Marvel Comics storyline post-"One More Day," where Peter makes a deal with Mephisto to save Aunt May, erasing his marriage to Mary Jane and rebooting his life with new villains like Mr. Negative. It's set to inspire the upcoming MCU film titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, starring Tom Holland (likely starting fresh post-No Way Home), with Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and others like Sadie Sink and Jon Bernthal. Set for release around 2026, it's the fourth MCU Spider-Man movie.

On the MCU's current filming climate: Post-2023 strikes and SAG-AFTRA issues, production has stabilized but faces criticism for rushed VFX timelines, over-reliance on CGI, and actor fatigue from multiverse juggling. Still, Holland's passion and Cretton's Shang-Chi success could deliver fresh energy—fingers crossed for something innovative.

Disney runs Marvel, and Disney gets what it wants. It redefined Peter Parker as a high school student, so it's no surprise that it's redefining The Punisher.
