Wednesday Walk: Going to One of The Oldest Mall in Jakarta called Sarinah

Hello guys... This Wednesday Walk I will share a story when I went for a short walk to one of the oldest malls in Jakarta.

This mall is called Sarinah. This mall was founded by the Indonesian government to meet the needs of the people. This mall, which was founded in 1962, is still operating today and has followed developments to become a modern shopping center.

Uniquely, even though it has kept up with the times, this mall still displays a uniquely Indonesian design and also sells handicrafts or goods typical of Indonesia. Sarinah also often features cultural events and music stages.

Here there is also a mini museum that tells about the development of Sarinah and the city of Jakarta. There are also photos of Sarinah's development from its founding until now. Visitors can also learn a bit about the history of Jakarta in outline here, so visitors don't just shop but can also learn about the history and culture of Jakarta.

This is the Iconic escalator of this Mall. This escalator in the middle is one of the first escalators in Indonesia which is still being maintained even though it can no longer be used, but can be evidence of the history of the development of malls in Indonesia.

This Wednesday Walk, I can not only refresh my mind for a moment from daily activities but also get new insights about history and the development of the city of Jakarta. This is a one of a kind experience.
