So, last weekend, my friends and I went to one of the newest coffee shops in our city. This coffee shop offers a different coffee drinking experience than usual. And I think this is the first in our city.

Medan City never runs out of ideas when it comes to culinary, especially the world of coffee which continues to grow rapidly. Amidst the many coffee shops that have sprung up, there is one place that has managed to steal the attention of coffee lovers and those who enjoy a unique atmosphere, namely Tempo Coffee Studio. Located on Jalan Dazam Raya, Medan, North Sumatra, Tempo Coffee Studio offers a coffee drinking experience that not only pampers the tongue, but also the eyes and heart. One of the unique things about this coffee shop is the presentation of Noodle Coffee and Mellow Coffee which are very interesting.

Strategic Location with Cozy Atmosphere

Tempo Coffee Studio is located in an area that is quite easy to reach. It is located on Jalan Dazam Raya, not far from the city center of Medan. When you first arrive in front of the cafe, a minimalist and modern impression is immediately felt. The exterior is designed with a simple industrial concept combined with a touch of wood, presenting a warm but still contemporary impression.

When entering the room, visitors will be greeted by the calming aroma of coffee and an interior with warm lighting that is comfortable for hanging out, working, or just relaxing. Some corners of the room are even decorated with small green plants that add a cool and homey feel. The music played in the room is also very fitting - not too loud, but enough to accompany casual chats or me time sessions.

Wooden tables combined with modern vintage-style chairs make this place suitable for all activities, either alone or with friends or family. Many visitors also make Tempo Coffee Studio their favorite spot to work on their laptops while enjoying coffee.

Unique Sensation: Noodle Coffee

The first menu that caught my attention was Noodle Coffee. As the name suggests, this coffee is served in a very unique way, resembling a bowl of noodles. The milk coffee that we usually enjoy in liquid form, here is processed in such a way that it produces a texture resembling chewy noodle sheets.

The Noodle Coffee serving comes in a ceramic bowl with a picture of a rooster, strengthening the unique impression of its presentation. On top of it, there is a pair of wooden chopsticks that roll the coffee sheets like noodles, like enjoying a portion of ramen. The dark brown color of the coffee combined with the ice cubes in the bowl adds to the refreshing impression.

When I tasted it, the texture felt chewy and soft, blending perfectly with the sweet and savory taste of the condensed milk and the strong aroma of coffee. There is a creamy sensation that dominates, but it doesn't make you feel nauseous because the sweetness is balanced. In addition to Noodle Coffee, I also ordered Mellow Coffee or what is often called Popcorn Coffee. This menu is no less interesting, because it serves coffee with a touch of caramel popcorn topping on top. The visual appearance is so tempting, served in a popcorn cup then on top of the coffee is decorated with a pile of sweet popcorn.

The taste? As soon as I took a sip, Mellow Coffee provided a harmonious blend of the bitterness of espresso, the sweetness of caramel syrup, and the savory taste of caramel popcorn that melted slowly adding a creamy impression when it touched the tongue, while the popcorn gave a crunchy and chewy texture sensation. This combination of flavors feels very suitable as a friend to relax in the afternoon.

For me, Mellow Coffee really brings the coffee drinking experience to a different level. Each sip presents a complex layer of flavor, but remains comfortable on the tongue.

Complementary Cheesecake

It feels incomplete to enjoy the two special drinks without ordering snacks. Our choice fell on the Cheesecake which was served with a simple but appetizing plating. The cheesecake pieces appeared with a soft texture, yellowish in color with a little burnt on top.

When tasted, the cheese taste was so smooth, creamy without excessive sourness. The sweetness was just right, combined with a savory and soft sour taste. Every bite felt very light but still satisfying. This cheesecake is truly the perfect companion to balance the rich and complex taste of coffee.

My experience at Tempo Coffee Studio was truly satisfying. Starting from the comfortable cafe atmosphere, friendly service, to menu innovations such as unique Noodle Coffee and Mellow Coffee, all combined to create an unforgettable coffee drinking experience. Added to that, the delicious cheesecake which was the perfect companion, made my relaxing time here feel so memorable.
