Daily Life as A Baker: Baking Fudgy Brownies and Brookies
Hellooo friends How's your day ? I hope you are doing well...
This morning started as usual, with the aroma of chocolate filling my small kitchen. As a home baker, my days always start with a sweet routine — literally. Today I made two of my customers’ favorite and best-selling products, fudgy brownies and brookies, the perfect combination of brownies and cookies.
The first step is of course to prepare the ingredients. On the table, eggs, sugar, dark chocolate, butter, flour, cocoa powder, and chocolate chips are neatly arranged. I started by beating the eggs and sugar using a hand mixer. This process requires patience so that the sugar is completely dissolved and the egg texture becomes light and fluffy, the key to a perfect fudgy texture.
After the egg mixture is ready, I melt the dark chocolate and butter using the double boiler method. The aroma of hot chocolate melting is always my favorite moment. When this mixture is evenly mixed and slightly cooled, I pour it into the egg mixture slowly while continuing to stir so that it doesn’t clump.
Next, I sifted the flour and cocoa powder before adding them to the dough. Sifting the dry ingredients makes the brownies smoother and more even. Once they are perfectly mixed, I added chocolate chips for a melted chocolate sensation in every bite.
For brookies, the initial process is almost the same, except that the cookies are made separately with a denser texture. After the cookies dough is ready, I pour it onto the brownie pan that has been poured previously and is set. The combination of these two doughs will give a chewy texture on top and fudgy on the bottom—a favorite of many people!
After all the fudgy brownie dough is ready, I pour it into a pan that has been lined with baking paper. Then, put it in the preheated oven. While waiting, I prepare for the next session: checking the packaging stock, preparing the flavor variant labels, and rechecking today's orders.
About 30-35 minutes later, the brownies come out of the oven. The aroma that comes out is really tempting. But I have to wait for them to cool before cutting them, so that the shape is neat and the texture is denser. After it has completely cooled down, I start cutting it with a special knife so that each piece is uniform.
The last process is packing. I use a box with my label sticker "BiteOBrownies", complete with the variant name and a thank you message. Each box is neatly arranged in a shipping bag, ready to be sent by courier to loyal customers.
Being a baker is not just about cooking, but also about loving every detail of the process - from raw materials to finished products. Although my hands often get sore from stirring the dough or standing in front of the oven for a long time, it all pays off when I see happy customers receiving their own handmade brownies.
This is a little bit of my daily story as a baker. A job full of sweet aromas, challenges, and irreplaceable satisfaction. Because every pan of brownies that comes out of the oven always brings stories and love from my small kitchen to the customer's home.
That's all my activities today, see you on my next blog.
