In the church of God, we give contributions. The contributions that we give is what will be used in the work of the gospel. The church uses money to pay bills, buy gadgets, repair damage facilities, etc.

Members of the church are to give their contributions according to their free will. Contributions in the church are not by compulsion. The brethren give according to the willingness of their hearts.

In many churches today, contributions are made compulsory like in the case of tithe payments. Making contributions in church was not made by compulsion in the days of the apostles. The apostles allowed the brethren to give whatever their hearts desired give.

There are actions which we carry out in church which are not mandated. Such are voluntary actions. The voluntary actions are those things we use our common sense to do for God. Examples of such actions is the giving of contributions.
