I Want To Do What Pleases God. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW

This is a new year. In a new year like this, doing the will of God will be my number one choice. There are many things which will become priorities to others, but for those of us in this realm, we will serve the Lord. This is my decision. This is my resolution. This is my desire. I want to please the Lord. I want to do His will. I want to obey His commandments. Many people find it difficult to obey the commandments of God. They choose to disobey his commandments. To them, it does not matter what they choose to do with their lives. The fear of the Lord is not a priority to them

In a foreign country, someone decided to obey God. He did not just decide. He was a youth. He had all the opportunity to resort to what other young people like Him were doing, but he chose to obey his God. That was Daniel. Daniel was a little boy in Babylon. What could you think about this? Daniel was offered the opportunity to dine with the king but Daniel refused. Why did he refuse? It was because the king's meal was sacrificed to the king’s idol. Someone could sacrifice his pleasure to please God. Why should I not do the same? I will obey the commandments of God this year.

What about the three Hebrew children? They refused to bow to the king's image because they did not want to obey the commandments of God. How many times have we retreated into sin just because we do not want to discipline ourselves? These three boys did not just refuse to worship the king's status, they accepted to be burnt for the love and fear they had for their God. We follow these examples and choose to do the will of God this year. May God help us.
