How Can We Stop Doing Evil. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW

The power is not in us. The power is only in Jesus Christ. We cannot stop ourselves from doing bad things because we do not have the power in us to do that. Doing what is good is difficult for our human nature to comply with. We are been intoxicated with evil. Our hearts and minds are infused with evil. So, the power to do good is not in our nature.

The Lord Jesus Christ referred to the Jews, which represent the whole human, as evil. He said you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children. So, the human without Christ is an evil creatures. He once said, an evil and adulterous generation. The Bible says that the imaginations of our hearts are continually evil. So, the ability to do what is good is not in the human nature.

The only ability to overcome evil is to give our hearts to the Lord Jesus Christ and allow Him to wash us clean with His blood. The Bible says that the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins. It also says that we are cleansed by the Word of God. So listening to the word of God can also remove the evil nature from us. That is when we can do what is good.
