UNPLUGGED: THE POWER SUPPLY SAGA

(Edited)
It is yet another day to tell stories, and this one is about a very important aspect of our daily life. It is very true that we can't do without "power supply" Of course it affects everything; both our daily activities and our businesses. To this effect, We all crave for and rely on steady power supply to enhance our business productivity { in this case, it is for businesses that requires electric power to stay productive, as not all businesses requires power} as well as our personal daily life activities.

We've had different experiences based on the manipulative behaviors of our own country power supply service. At this point, am beginning thing on the reason for this week prompt.

Did something happened during the week that inspired this? Well, possibly! of course people living in Nigeria are in a better position to render testimony relating to power issues. {Am in no where trying to exposed the inefficiency of this service. Certainly, in most larger part of the country, there are testimonies of consistency as related to good steady power supply. Am in this case trying to share the unsatisfactory experience of mine in a little locality I have unfortunately found myself }.

About 3 weeks ago If memory serves me right, something happened in my area. And this is a recurring event of a blowing transformer, leaving us all with no electric power for days. Like I said, this is something that has been happening, but the company has done thing about changing the transformer, rather they keep fixing and re-fixing the transformer.

Earnestly it is becoming very annoying, because they are aware that this transformer has been in used for decades and there have been a growing number people, moving into the area to reside. Meaning that the device system has become over loaded that's why it kept on blowing. I think this is something the company is supposed to look in to and change the device.

People are struggling to manage their daily activities without electric power. Especially for some businesses here, It becomes so difficult for them buying diesel daily to run their activities and still paying bills for the electric power they didn't make used of at the end of every month.

I think the only major issue we experience here is the frequent transformer problem. Otherwise, they would be none. (I don't know about other state and local territories) and that shows the level of inefficiency in the the services rendered by the power holding company of Nigeria (to our territory precisely). I know many people might have a more better testimony. But all good. Thank you for stopping by!
