Three great live songs (Three Tune Tuesday – Week 202)

Hello everyone on this new Three Tune Tuesday, an initiative organized by our friend @ablaze, which is now in its 202st edition. Today I'm back to share THREE GREAT LIVE SONGS, and you'll see that they are indeed three really good songs.

The songs I'm bringing you today are from the 70s and 80s, the time when I was a child and then a teenager (respectively). Back then, I heard these songs in their studio versions, since live versions of them were difficult to reach my country. But time passes, the internet emerges, becomes more widespread, and many musical gems become more popular, so I was able to enjoy these classics live, and I'm bringing them to you in this time. That being said, let's look at my #ttt songs today.

Ahora vamos con mis canciones / Now let's go with my songs
I'm starting this #ttt with a song that's already gorgeous in its studio version, but takes things to the next level in this live performance. It's the wonderful "Telephone Line" by the British band Jeff Lynne's ELO. This live performance I'm sharing with you is from 2017, at Wembley Stadium in the United Kingdom. Besides the beauty of this melody, the technical level is even higher, with the quality of the musicians, the voices, the orchestral accompaniment, the light show, and the energy of the audience all coming together to create a masterpiece. This song reminds me of my pre-teens, when it was played a lot on the radio. I remember my late friend Eva loving it and singing it all the time. I'm sharing this wonderful song with you.

My next song is “Take the Long Way Home”, by the British band SUPERTRAMP. This time I bring you the presentation that its writer and composer, ROGER HODGSON, made in London, in April 2016. Hodgson was part of the band until 1983, however, he was the creator of this and other wonders. I can say that the music of SUPERTRAMP will always remind me of one of my cousins, who was and is a die-hard fan of the band. He had the great fortune of being able to see them in the United Kingdom, when he was studying there, in the late 70s and early 80s. It is a song that will always remind me of him and the moments we spent together singing it and him playing the piano, it is a beautiful memory, and seeing it live gives me the same joy as decades ago. Here I share the video. Enjoy it!

And ending this #ttt, I have brought you part of the wonderful presentation that the band, also British, “The Alan Parson Project” had in 2013, in Colombia. In this video we can enjoy “Sirius / Eye in the sky”, one of the songs that I like the most from this band. In this live performance, everything is perfect: The musicians, the voices, the orchestral accompaniment... everything sounds super good. The music of this band reminds me of my adolescence, especially when I came home from high school, because I usually used a Walkman and always had a cassette playing, and there was usually a song from this band. It was a beautiful and complex stage of my life. Here I share the video of this live performance, and I want to end this #ttt by saying that the voice does not age, that it is not mandatory that as the years go by and wrinkles appear, our voice loses strength and shine, obviously as long as we take care of it; Nor does our quality as musicians necessarily have to be lost; on the contrary, the level can be raised. Proof of this are these three live performances I've shared with you today.

Este ha sido mi aporte para esta genial iniciativa del amigo @ablaze en su edición número 201, compartiendo con todos ustedes TRES ESTUPENDAS CANCIONES EN DIRECTO
