This post is great because it gives a broad overview of a unique cuisine that might seem unfamiliar to many people. I think it's fantastic how people use the available resources. The Keladi Tumbuk dessert really caught my eye; I think I'll try making it.
In the Amazon region of my country, there's also a palm worm, which is the larva of the black palm weevil (Rhynchophorus palmarum). It's eaten roasted or fried and has a high fat content. Those who have tried it say it's a delicacy.

Taro is pretty common to find but making it into such dessert was something unique that I only find in this part of town. It also inspires me to actually replicate it as well and introduce it in where I am from.
Also, the worm that you're talking about is pretty similar to what I am looking for here. So, hopefully, I can find them.
