Greetings, happy day or night, friends of the BEER community. We are starting June 2025, and today I am returning to participate in the #BeerSaturday of the week 413. This is week 413 of #BeerSaturday and I'd like to invite @marlyncabrera to write a post in any language (English would be great, or bilingual), about beer, with at least 3 images (her own).

Saludos, feliz día o noche, amigos de la comunidad BEER. Estamos iniciando junio 2025, y hoy regreso para participar en el #BeerSaturday de la semana 413. Esta es la semana 413 del #BeerSaturday y me gustaría invitar a @marlyncabrera a escribir un post en cualquier idioma (inglés sería genial, o bilingüe), sobre cerveza, con al menos 3 imágenes (propias).

Winter has begun, but the heat doesn't let up. It's raining intermittently, which I'm deeply grateful for, especially for the plants and animals. My bees have more flowers to sip from, and that's great. The birds in the yard also have more food, because rain brings life. And since the heat is almost like the hottest summer day, a cold beer is always appreciated.

Ya comenzó el invierno, pero el calor no cede. Está lloviendo de forma intermitente, lo cual agradezco profundamente, especialmente por las plantas y los animales. Mis abejas tienen más flores para libar y eso es genial. Las aves del solar también tienen más comida, y es que la lluvia trae vida. Y como el calor está casi que como el día más caluroso de verano, una cerveza fría siempre se agradece.

It's common to find domestic beers in the liquor stores in my town, meaning there's a limited selection. However, my husband and I often visit a large grocery store that opened near the town square, and there are interesting liquors and beers, beers I can't find anywhere else. A few days ago, we visited that store and decided to buy two cans of Stella Artois for $2 each. I'm sharing it with you today.

En las licorerías de mi pueblo es común conseguir cervezas nacionales, es decir, hay una oferta limitada; sin embargo, mi esposo y yo solemos visitar un almacén grande, que abrieron cerca de la plaza del pueblo, y allí se consiguen licores y cervezas interesantes, cervezas que en otras partes no voy a poder comprar. Y días atrás estuvimos de visita en ese almacén, y decidimos comprarnos dos latas de STELLA ARTOIS, a un precio de 2 $ cada una, y la dejé para compartirla hoy con ustedes.

THE BEER / LA CERVEZA

I know this beer is widely known in many countries, but for me it's an illustrious unknown, hence why I tasted it slowly (even in the heat) in order to fully appreciate it. From what I could see on the Internet, this beer has a lot of history, because if I understood correctly, it has been brewed since 1366!!!! (that's a long time), and its country of origin is Belgium, where it is still produced, although some of it is bottled in other countries. What I found visually pleasing about this beer is the beautiful, elaborate, and striking logo that says STELLA ARTOIS, with the star, the cornucopia, and the gold frame. It's really pretty and stands out against the light gray background of the can.

Sé que esta cerveza es ampliamente conocida en muchos países, pero para mí es una ilustre desconocida, de allí que la haya degustado con calma (aún con el calor que hacía), para poder apreciarla bien. Según pude ver en Internet, esta cerveza con mucha historia, pues si no entendí mal, se fabrica desde 1366!!!! (eso es mucho tiempo), y su país de origen es Bélgica, en donde aún se produce, aunque parte de ella es envasada en otros países. Lo que me pareció visualmente agradable de esta cerveza, es el hermoso, elaborado y llamativo logotipo que dice STELLA ARTOIS, con la estrella, la cornucopia y el marco dorado. Es realmente bonito y resalta en el fondo gris claro de la lata.

On the front of the can, you can see that it holds 330 ml. This can also features the beer's name on the side, with a beautiful red star and some very meaningful phrases: “Over 600 years of Belgian brewing expertise, brought to life in a beautifully balanced lager. With a flavourful taste and a clean finish, Stella Artois is meant to be savoured."

En la parte frontal de la lata se puede visualizar que contiene 330 ml. Esta lata también trae por un lateral el nombre de la cerveza, con una hermosa estrella roja y unas frases muy significativas, que dicen: “Más de 600 años de experiencia cervecera belga, plasmados en una lager de exquisito equilibrio. Con un sabor intenso y un final limpio, Stella Artois está hecha para disfrutarla.”

On one side of this can of STELLA ARTOIS is a self-adhesive label with the importer's information and the necessary permits. On the top is the seal that all imported liquor carries, indicating that it has passed through customs. The top of the can is a matte gold color, which blends well with the rest of the design and colors.

Por un costado de esta lata de STELLA ARTOIS, trae una etiqueta autoadhesiva que indican los datos de la importadora, así como la permisología necesaria. En la parte superior está el precinto que todo licor importado trae, que indica que pasó por la aduana. La parte superior de la lata es de un color dorado mate, que combina bien con el resto del diseño y los colores.

When I opened the can of STELLA ARTOIS, I was surprised by its aroma, which was pleasant and somewhat intense. The color is beautiful, golden, and luminous. And its flavor was also surprising, balanced, because it is not sweet but not bitter either. It reminded me slightly of CORONA beer. When I poured it, even though it was cold, it foamed a lot (perhaps it was a bad move on my part), but even so, I drank it slowly, while savoring it.

Al abrir la lata de STELLA ARTOIS me sorprendió su aroma, que fue agradable y algo intense. El color es hermoso, dorado, Luminoso. Y su sabor fue también sorprendente, equilibrado, porque no es dulce pero tampoco amarga. Me recordó ligeramente a la cerveza CORONA. Al servirla, aún cuando estaba fría, hizo mucha espuma, (quizás fue una maniobra no adecuada de mi parte), pero aún así, la fui bebiendo poco a poco, mientras la saboreaba.

I really liked this beer, and I might buy it again next time. By the way, my husband really liked it too.

Realmente me gustó esta cerveza, quizás la vuelva a comprar en una próxima ocasión. Por cierto, a mi esposo también le gustó mucho.
