Many of us are quite familiar with the insects called cockroaches. They can be seen at different times in different places in rural Bengal. We have noticed that all these insects live very close to humans. Although small, their lifestyle and movements are very mysterious. Cockroaches are usually brown or black in color and their bodies are covered with a shiny and hard shell. They have long antennae on both sides of their heads, with which they feel the surrounding environment. And this feeling makes people wonder how this is possible. Their special feature is the ability to run and escape quickly. Dark, damp and warm places are the favorite shelters of cockroaches, such as kitchen corners, cupboards, drains or cracks in wet walls. They come out at night in search of food. Surprisingly, they can eat almost anything, including rice grains, sweets, rotten food and even book paper. Therefore, it is necessary to cover our food with great care. Because they can eat food at any opportunity. Their survival capacity is so strong that they can survive for a long time with little food and little water. Cockroaches reproduce very quickly, each mother cockroach carries an egg sac, from which many new cockroaches are born in a short time. Although we find these cockroaches very annoying, these insects play an important role in maintaining balance in our environment. One thing we have to remember is that there is a reason behind everything that the Creator has created. So we should not feel annoyed and give all these things a chance to survive in our beautiful environment.
