Yeah the whole KE metric is a response to everyone yelling at the SPL community on being extractors but it drives new people away.

What's KE metric and what is had to do with the game?
SPL has been yelled at for extracting more value from Hive users then it has brought in.
The Hive whales made the KE metric to show value extractors versus value adding.
But all it does is piss off new users.
And now people are using to affect their upvotes.

This is really strange that they are imposing new restrictions, not actually, but hurts.

Exactly! Instead of evolving to welcome and guide new folks, we end up gatekeeping with metrics. Web3 should be about inclusion, not intimidation. Time to move past 2017 and actually grow this space.
