The only reason they want Hive mentioned is straight up Greed.
They want the price to go up so they earn more passively.
Anything they feel that impacts that, they take as a threat.
They want to be a big fish in a small pond.
The issue is the ocean is coming.

There does appear to be some competition between the goals of growth vs control.

This is why I have suggested for LEO to eventually fork off of Hive to get away from all that garbage. I think it would actually flourish with the amount of other partnerships out there. I for one would be happy to launch a witness node.
