Hello dear friends,

Today, with bad weather around my area, I take advantage of it to write this post to share with you, as I've been a bit absent these days and need to catch up. I have several photos to share with you, and I can't wait to do so.

In this particular post, I want to tell you about a beautiful experience I had a few days ago when I went with a dear friend to a quite famous summer destination in Italy called Jesolo.

Jesolo has become an important seaside resort for several years, but it also tries to attract tourists during the winter thanks to numerous initiatives promoted by the municipal administration. For several years, it has organized the sand nativity scene that attracts tourists from all over the world, but also the ice nativity scene, a beautiful and interesting artistic installation where the statues are made of ice at natural height and size.

You know how much I love these installations and artistic creations, and I must be honest; I had never seen anything like it, even though I know that in some countries like Norway and Sweden, they often organize events where they create these ice sculptures. Anyway, from what I understand, they have been organizing this ice nativity scene for three years, and it is visitable until January 14, 2024. Skilled sculptors transform these blocks of ice into works that conveyed so many emotions to me because they were truly too beautiful.

Moreover, the even more beautiful and fantastic thing is that access to this event is free, and practically all the works are inside a naturally refrigerated showcase where the internal temperature is minus 12 degrees, and I counted more than 70 statues, and I think their weight is significant. I believe that in Italy, there are no other nativity scenes made of ice in this way; I think it is truly a unique thing and worth seeing at least once in a lifetime.

Certainly, these statues convey the skill of their sculptors but also the passion in creating these works of art, which I think is not so easy, especially in a material like ice, because you have to work at low temperatures.
