Tiny terracotta sculptures.

I'm back here because I just finished to give some brush strokes of colors on a couple of tiny terracotta sculptures I made!
Some days ago I wrote about the small sculptures I created during the art class of my hubby @paolobeneforti . He uses to teach how to create sculptures with clay in 2 different art classes, one inside our lab and another one in the lab of one of our friends in a city close to mine.

Along the years I made different small sculptures with clay, but I prefer to paint and so this is not an activity I use to do often.

In one of my previous content I shared with you some pics of my tiny sculptures before to cook them inside our clay oven and so now I'm here to share with you the final result after some simple strokes of color of 2 ones of them:

I made these 2 simple ones to experiment with different colors to understand how can obtain interesting textures. For these ones I used a first stroke of oil colors and, when they were driy enough, I made them a little smooth using (maybe you think it's strange 😁 ) the shoe wax.

Just to now, the natural clay is in the shades of brown, but after the oven (at very high temperature) it become red. In the following pic you can see a tiny sculpture before the oven and, at the right, a one after the oven:

These tiny sculptures are just a sort of experiment and I want to try to do some other "things" on them. Maybe I'll add on it some details or maybe I'll use them for more complex works, stay tuned. 😊
