Thinking about the sea
Hello hivers, an happy Saturday to you all!
It's a warm day of Springtime here in my area, the Sun is shining on the sky and the air smell of new flowers all around. ❤️
Today I'm here to share with you a painting I made yesterday as a study for a new artwork. You know I love to paint tiny scenes on the hair of my characters and, during the past days, I felt the need to think about a different pose for my human figures and so I studied some different ones on my sketchbook.
My favorite one is the head of a woman with long blue hair you can see in the following pics:
As you can see, her blue hair reminds to the sea and I added a tiny paper boat on the wave.
To paint it I used my oil colors on a page of my sketchbook (around 150 gsm paper) in A4 size. Sorry, this time I took just a couple of pics while I was painted this woman on my small working table (I forgot to take more pics) to show you the work in progress too:
It was a simple exercise/ study, but soon I'll work on a painting (on paper or on canvas, I don't know) inspired by this study so stay tuned to see the final result.
I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
