The tired chick, exercising my imagination (oil on paper)

Hello hivers, an happy Monday to you all!
The new working week here started with a sunny warm morning. The air smell of springtime and different kind of birds are flying all around from trees to trees in my backyard and in the gardens close to mine, while my furry friends are sleeping hard on a corner under my plum tree. Later I'll teach art to the kids Like I'm doing every Monday since around one month, but waiting to start the lesson inside my lab room, I'm here to share with you an exercise I did soon in the morning.
A simple exercise to improve my imagination:

As you can understand, it was something really simple to paint, but I thought to paint something simple to show it to the kids, to teach them how they can draw a nice chick starting from just a couple of rounded shapes. 😁
It's an oil colors painting on a scrap of paper and, like I use to do , I took some pics while I was painting it so you can see the process too:

Simple, fast, but I have a lot of fun to work on it, believe me. ❤️
