The flying bird (oil on paper)

Hello hivers, an happy Tuesday to you all!
During these days, as you can see, I'm painting a lot of birds. I think it's because, when I wake up in the morning and I immediatly open the windows to my backyard, tere are always a lot of birds around the plants and the plum tree.
Even if I live in a (small) city, when I watch them it seems to be out of a city and this make me feel so good.
This morning, after some sketches with a simple pencil, I decided to try to paint one of my usual (fat) bird while it's flying and, in the following pic, you can see the final result:

I also added a tiny scene about home on the bird and I have fun to image it.

I painted it using oil pastels and oil colors on my sketchbook. To be honest, I like the final result and so, soon, I'll work on some new artworks with the my usual (fat) birds in this pose. ^_^
It's an oil painting on 100 gsm sheet of paper and, like I use to do for you, I took some pics while I was painted this funny bird in the shades of blue color so you can see the process too:
