The blackbird (linocut on paper)

Hello hivers, an happy Wednesday to you all!
It's a warm sunny day here, the Sun is shining on the sky and the birds are flying from tree to tree, but not in my backyard where my furry friends Nanny and Bimba are sleeping now. 😁

Yesterday, while my hubby was teaching to draw to his students inside our lab, I worked on a new block to hand print other scenes similar to the scenes I use to paint on my artwork.

At now, this new one is my favorite one:

In the pic you can see the first one of a limited edition of 10. The subject is a (fat) blackbird between flowers and leaves.

After I carved the block (this time I used an adigraf block instead of a linoleum block), I started to work with the lino ink (water based) in black color to create the prints on 200 gsm paper in A4 size.

As usual, I took some pics during the different steps of the process. In the following 2 ones I was carving the block:

Soon I'll add this new artwork to my Artfinder shop (link at the bottom), hoping it will find a new home!
