Talking about our work on art at a local high school!

Hello hivers, an happy Wednesday to you all!

Yesterday I had a very busy (but also a very excited) afternoon, because with my hubby @paolobeneforti and my friend Margarita went to talk about art and about our artworks to the students of an high school in my city. ❤️

The school is a a professional high school for social services and commercial services where there is also the night school for adults so yesterday we talked 2 times, the first one for the students of the morning school and the second one for the students of the night school and both of the times was fantastic.
They don't study art at school, so they were very curious about our works and about what we do. We talked about what means to be an artist today, about the things that inspire our artworks, the ways to promote what we do and about the role of the art today.
They asked us a lot of things, for example if we use to listen music while we are painting and each one of us has different habits (I use to listen pop and rock music, but also true crime podcast, while Paolo loves podcasts about paleolithic era 😄).

In the following pic you can see me (I'm the one at the left of the pic 😁) while my friend Margarita, who is an artist and an art therapist, helped me to show some of my oil on canvas:

Margarita creates awesome papier-mâché sculptures and you can see some of them in the following pic:

Everyone of us has a different style and different experiences about our work on art, so we decided to talk about different part of our work. For example, I focused my talking on the creative process, my hubby on the different techniques and Margarita guided the students on a art therapy exercise.

At the end, Paolo drew a simple (simple for him, believe me 😁) portrait on a scrap of cardboard box and the student was really really enthusiastic! ❤️

See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia

To talk about the thing you love with others must be super exciting for you, esp sharing a great lesson about it. Art is that one thing I love to learn but I don't have the will to really do it. I appreciate them a lot because they bless my eyes with their beauty. No matter what the design, if its arts designed by hands, I will love that for sure. ( /^ω^)/♪♪

One of the thing I lile to say when I talk about art is that everyone can do it, because you need 2 things: the skills about techniques that you can improve just exercise your hands day by day sketching on every scraps of paper you have and your imagination. ❤️
