Studying a "special" moth. 😊

Hello hivers, an happy Tuesday to you all! It's a sunny and hot day here in the area where I live and, while during the day there are some butterflies in my backyard, when the Sun goes down, we can watch a lot of fireflies flying all around like tiny lights on the dark.
There are also some little moths and I started to think to try to paint some of them in my own illustrative style so, soon this morning, I took my brushes, my oil colors and my sketchbook and this was the result of my exercises and studies:

As you can see, on the wings of the month I painted one of my usual tiny scenes with a tiny home and some tiny trees and plants. I'm satisfied about the result and so soon I'll paint some new similar ones to add to my online gallery. 😊
I used my oil colors on a page of my sketchbook (around 200 gsm paper in A4 size) and, like I use to do when I sketch or I paint something new, I took some pics while I was working on this freaky moth so you can see the steps of the process too:

I hope you like it and, if you want, stay tuned to see the next "special" months I'll painte on the next days!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
